So was Toews for a 3rd line center. Three points out of a PO spot and Tyson Nash having to eat crow (not literally you sick (frank)s) in the post game analysis...life is pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Just going by bullpoop articles that were posted on some of the various websites that is all! On another note can someone refresh my memory on why we lost Anttii Raantta, was it in an order to keep Scott Darling?

What a great win Boy's !!!!! wild OT .And Crow may have had a rough spot in the 2nd ,but what a battler Crow is , would certainly not won without him tonight . Rannta was also on fire ,he was the difference for The Dogs .Think maybe Toews and Kane had a book on Raanta for the SO .Saad why are we trading him .Why are we trading anyone .That was a gritty win against a team they have trouble with after a big break on the road .Good win .

I believe so. Darling was also the better goalie at the time and without him the Hawks likely don't get past the Perds in round 1 of the playoffs in 2015...so please let's not go down the revisionist road...just sayin'

None of it matters. The Hawks were going to keep one not both with Crow being the de facto #1.

Darling has had his issues, but at the time he was a wall when called upon. Like I said, the Hawks needed him in the worst way when Crow had issues in the first round against NSH in '15.

Could Raanta have also won? Who knows.

Raanta was outplayed by Darling when Crow went down in 15. Raanta was sent down after Crow came back and was traded that offseason to the Rangers for the great Ryan Haggerty.

In 2017, Darling agreed to terms with the Hurricanes on a four-year contract. His first season with Carolina was underwhelming, as he recorded a 13–21–7 record with a 3.18 goals against average (GAA).

11/29/18 the canes placed Darling on waivers.

With the Charlotte Checkers on 2/10/19 Darling was granted a "personal leave of absence" for an undetermined period of time.

6/30/2019, Darling and a 2020 sixth-round draft pick were traded to Florida Panthers in exchange for James Reimer then placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buying out the final two years of his contract.

It appears he is now playing in europe.
