Not a fan of that but interested to know why you want this & project the effect on the roster for the next few years.

No need, I can tell you right now.

Demko is more of a puck handler. Likes to play the puck up the ice himself more. He's not as soft on his rebounds. Kicks them past traffic to the wing more than Marky. It's great to get the breakout going, but can be bad if the winger is busy covering.

Marky likes to kick them to the corners, which is the way I was taught, because it's out of trouble there. His rebounds are softer. He'll still kick to the wing just not nearly as much as Demko. He doesn't handle the puck as well or as aggressively as Demko, but he's gotten a lot better at it over the last couple of years. Another thing Marky has on Demko right now by a slim margin is he absorbs tough shots better.

Stance wise, both of them have become more upright in the last year or so. But Marky holds his feet longer and will stand in places Demko goes into the butterfly or VH. That's just offhand.

- Load Management

You are right demko puts rebounds to the wings, esp the R side. Marky tends to put the rebounds either into the corner behind him or right smack in front. This why there are so many scrambles in front of the net with marky.
Why this is significant is how the D has to position itself to be present to pick up rebounds. Part of demko success is there isn't a lot of 2nd / 3rd shots since he puts rebounds right where the D is waiting. So it seems the D plays tighter with demko but its really just a benefactor of the joint effort between them.. marky you always have D standing in front which is always a crap shoot for clearing it out.
This is 1 reason I think we have a great tandem..keeps the opposition guessing. On your zone exits. If you alternate them that is.
I played D and I was very efficient in my play. Always knew where to be by knowing where my tender places his rebounds. It'd be on my stick and out of the zone. Most people only think about the goal scorers, playing d can give you a different view of the game...
So anyways it was cool to finally meet someone here who sees details of this different side to the game. Usually it's just me and Lord talking D.
Anyways well done for being off the top of your head

I put out trade offers for reasons i think it works. What we need is 1st. Whether for cap or contract space or a specific need as i see it. Yes i lowball often but it’s just a beginning point & if no deal happens then fine. Cap space is our priority but no rush.

We don’t have to make any trades unless it’s for longterm reasons.

Realistically, the only move that makes sense for the Canucks, at this time, is moving Schaller.
There are several players on the farm, that could easily replace him, including Bailey, Zacmac and Jasek, as 4th line energy types.

Yeah that's the rumor out there JB will see if someone will take Schaller as a rental since his contract is up. If they insert Bailey over him its further reason he might be on the move.

I will guess Stecher will not be a Canuck after TDL and we will move a D prospect but we will have a top 6 guy. Sven may get moved out in the process,

Brock is going nowhere.

Nor should he be on the move, the kid is a fine player, that is improving his 200' game.
He will be fine.

That's the tally so far though its highly likely nothing happens at TDL.

Canucks are going for the playoffs they are keeping their NHL D. Just because there is depth there you don't move it at the TDL.

Canucks also have Lievo and Ferland as top 9 add on help down the stretch.

So what you’re saying is that Kassian is a weak female dog who can’t handle a few drinks and a little blow? Another reason not to like him.

Flat out, they need to get Rafferty, OJ and potentially Chatfield up for some games to see what they have before the TDL. Then they can assess what to do defense.

Frankly, Stecher will not be moved until they know that they can re-sign Tanev. Not to mention that any substantial playoff run, which should be their goal at this moment, requires depth on defense. So, if they were to do anything its add on D, not subtract.

I doubt Eriksson is going anywhere now because of his responsible play which will be invaluable in the playoffs. Otherwise, I'd throw in Lind just to move him. At this point, just bite the bullet. With the emergence of Virtanen, Lind becomes expendable.

Just my 2 cents

With the club playing well doubt Stecher goes anywhere. Still have injuries to the D to potentially think about. That hasn't really hit us yet knock on wood.

Rafferty and Bailey should be up anyways now that Motte is done. Even just to give Rafferty a quick look while the team is playing good they can shelter him a bit on the defensive side.

Just think, We had Guddy, Hutton, Pouliot and Del Zotto in our top 6 not two years ago!!
