8 points up on the Jets, even in games. The gap is getting a little bigger 😁

The schedule gets real now. That said it gets real for every team battling for a spot

Isles, Hurricanes, Bruins, Wild. 3 tough games.

Two early morning starts on the east coast. If they can steal one game and take one to OT that is a 500 road trip.

Don’t be so pessimistic, they are very capable of going 4-1. This is a good team now.

Just give me 5.5-6 wins out of 10 and I am a happy camper.

Bos, Car and NYI are all barely over .500 their last 10. Canucks are surging while the others are slumping. The Min game is the trap. 4-1, they are a good team now.

No. Vantel simply states it’s not asking much to expect a .500 split. He did not say it could not be better.

I had it as win in Boston and Minny lose the two morning games.

Hughes is on pace for 59pts - crushing Dahlins total last year.

I've seen Dahlin play 4 times now in person and he's great but he doesn't stand out the way Quinn does.

Is QH better?

And to think we could've taken Boqvist, Dobson, Bouchard

We keep up .500 for the year, thats 94 points. We are better than that imo, so my revised prediction is 97 points. Win the games you need to (divisional) and its in the bag.
Winnipeg being 8 points back would have to be 5 games over .500 to pass us if we only win half of our remaining 31 games.

How can this team be winning with 3rd liners, like Bo and Jake and trash like Beagle and Sutter?

Although I’d never seen Quinn Hughes play before he was drafted I wasn’t enamoured with his small frame, even though I’ve been harping about the Canucks needing to draft more pure talent, because you simply can’t win without straight up skill.

I’m so glad Benning and Brackett identified him ahead of the other bigger defensemen, he’s so talented, so so talented.

Dahlin is also super talented, he had 40+ points as an 18 year old dman, that pretty damn good!!

I'm in the same boat. The kid has vision on the ice that is rarely seen at any age. Scary to think of what time and maturity will bring to his game. Total steal.

Hughes and Petey have been absolute gems.

That's what I mean - in a few years time do you think people will say Quinn should've went 1st?

In a "re-draft" scenario the same way Petey clearly should've been 1st overall. He's creeping up to Nico already in points - in 70 less games.

#2 for me, Dahlin is ultra talented, he has size and he’s a great skater. Total package.

Splitting hairs though, they’re both fantastic players.

I actually had this discussion with my wife recently. She loathes the Oilers because of how they ruined the draft. But really, losing the draft lottery turned out to be the best thing for us. The pressure to go with the consensus was off and we could sit back and be a little more selective with the best of the rest. Easy to say with hindsight, but we made out like bandits.

I wonder if JB would still be the GM if we won a lottery spot in Petey's year and still taken him.

Enjoyed the battle of Alberta game, McDavid and Draisaitl are such phenomenal talents, the rest of the team is pretty average. Calgary plays hard and with emotion going to be a good race to the division lead.

I like how the Canucks can turn it on when needed, but why are all of the games slow to start and by end of the first and 5 mins into the second they seem to wake up.

Markstrom was fantastic last night, Garrett nailed it with the Gump Worsely comparison on that pad save.
