I guess the point is that I don’t plan on Mitts or Tage ever making it in this league. So my future plans wouldn’t rely on them. I would try to trade them sooner than later to get whatever value they still have.

I about half agree. Wasn’t mitts dealing with a shoulder injury at the combine? But besides that, they are both young and need to hit the weight room hard! Who is the ex nhl-Er that runs a crazy camp, Gary Roberts or Recci ? You schedule mitts and tage for an off-season with him and see what they got. Give them one more camp to see if they fill out...
With that, if either of them end up in trade for a 2c or rw for the top 6, I certainly won’t complain... |

I agree, hope it's not Botts plan again, I hope it's just a bonus |

"Everyone identifies who the top 10 players are, it may change. There may be four great players and six really good players coming out of every draft. If you’re consistently picking in the top eight or 10 and not changing your result at all over an extended period of time, clearly there’s something else wrong. They may not be as good as you actually hope them to be..."
From Mike Gillis, former GM.
He is hitting at the heart of Sabres problems. Do they really know how to evaluate talent?
Are they looking at the right attributes, or just plain 16 year old skills.
How do they rank the intrinsic values...high compete level, decisions under pressure, etc. |

Wasn’t Gillis the ex gm who went around studying different sports and theories and such. I think there was a good article on him... but i could be getting him confused with someone else...

I dont understand.
Skinner is having a disastrous season, and you cannot deny that.
"He needs people to play with" is the argument.
Making 9 mil a year he needs to be driving play and making those around him better, not hoping for someone to come along and he can ride along. - ImThatGuy
No that’s why he doesn’t have “points”.
You aren’t going to rack up points playing with the guys he’s played with and not on PP1. He just isn’t.
I honestly do not care at all how many points he gets. It’s an arbitrary measure of whether someone is good or not and is dependent on teammates unless your an Eichel/McDavid etc.
But it’s soooo fun that we have a guy on year 1 of an 8 year deal who’s public enemy #1 already because some of his shots haven’t gone in this year
It’s seriously such a joy to listen to and we’re all looking forward to 7 More years of constant complaints |

You should have some mighty taco delivered to Cali... talk about a clean out, my last mighty pack, I wasn’t right for a week! Now I drive by a mighty taco and my but hole puckers... I hear celery is good juiced for cleaning, might not stink as bad.
You should see a dr before your feet rot off. - Gr8daygo
Why anyone still buys Mighty is beyond me. I still like their sauce but the slop they call meat is gross. |

Evan Rodrigues is projected to play on Buffalo's top line on Thursday night.
Rodrigues is slated to play alongside Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart against Montreal. He was a healthy scratch on Tuesday versus Ottawa. Rodrigues has two goals and five points in 28 appearances this season.
Jesus Christ this coach is a moron, still refuses to put Skinner there. |

It’s been over a decade since I’ve been there! Back in high school I loved me a mighty pack. But in my early 30s, that was it... I tried one and wasn’t right for a week. Lol! |

Well I know I have been hard on him, but we need him, he's a good hockey player, and hopefully with a few pieces in place this year will be in the rearview mirror for him. And it wouldn't surprise me if he explodes before the year is over. |
