the picks were 2020 and 2021
botts didn't want to wait 3 drafts to get the first pick - homiedclown
That 2020 1st would be pretty nice right about now. Botts is so impatient. |

Seems to be a conflict to what he appears to be doing. Those picks seems to be right in the wheel house of what hes doing. |

Maybe he was hoping for a guaranteed pick, but who really knows. Maybe he re-evaluated his plan and realized it was going to be tougher than expected. |

Horrible mistake on his part.
Especially now that San Jose is a bottom
Feeder. Another reason to can him. We could be looking at a top 5 pick this year and maybe next year for Kane.
Instead we got Johnson

Someone who has resources with sewing skills could make serious money with this fan base right now.
I had the idea before to have the Sabres #26 Jersey with the Lottery Ball numbers on the Name Plate instead of Dahlin.
Great idea.
This one is even better given the state of the Organization
Sabres Jersey with
- the Crest sewn in upside down
- number 1 backward
- Teri and Kym on nameplate
Have them in time for the last home game.

But realistically...
we’re here waiting for the all the talented youth to develop into good players
And that is when the Sabres will actually be a good team - jdfitz77

Good read on The Athletic about Mike Gillis, former GM for Vancouver when he built the SC runner-up team about the things he has educated himself about organizational structure, decision making, etc in an effort to innovate Hockey Management strategies and practices...
Regarding ineffective management...
"Everyone identifies who the top 10 players are (in the draft), it may change. There may be four great players and six really good players coming out of every draft. If you’re consistently picking in the top eight or 10 and not changing your result at all over an extended period of time, clearly there’s something else wrong. They may not be as good as you actually hope them to be..."

I wish you the best man. So far my PT has gone well and additional scans looking good. Sorry to hear you have to go through it again. - mhp
Thanks MHP, Surgery went good. Went in at 6:30 was out at 8:00, Thank God they just removed a few bone spurs and some scar tissue and tightened up a couple of the harnesses holding the bicep muscle in place. Nothing like the last surgery |

Good to hear.
My doctor was watchful to see the anchors are holding the tendon in the rotator cuff together. Fortunately I didn't tear the bicep tendon. He likes to check those things that everything is progressing, so far so good.
I wish you the best with the re-hab. It can be a slow process. |

Cozens, Mitts & 6k all develop into good players,
and we are talking about the Sabres as LEGIT contenders
I personally believe there’s a very good chance that happens - jdfitz77
way to early to tell, and how long until they develop enough to move the needle... my guess would be 3 years. |
