Everyone is mostly correct.
Except for The Man with a Plan.
I stand with Ralph.
I projected the roster would generate 82-84 points, with 8 pts coming from Ralph through the system and motivation. That leaves the Roster capable of generating about 76 pts. Ralph garnered thos points in October with the 8-1-1 run. It will be a miracle if he is able to keep the team on pace for 84 pts. He normally is able to right the ship after a couple/three stinkers. I see it happening again.
The problem isn't the Coach, it is the roster composition of 2-1/2 lines of 4th liners. What Ralph has done so far keeping "the band together" rather than completely imploding is simply a miracle worker. The X's and O' are his Asst's responsibility.
They bet on Casey again and he bit them. Let’s hope they stop putting all the chips on black 37 - SabresFaninIndiana
I would say the bigger misfire was betting on Marcus Johansson to be some kind of stop gap at centre.
He hasn't really been effective in that position in years, any damage he did last year came on the wing as his production is about average but he doesn't really drive offence.

Bott's roster is the problem - IonSabres
To me, Ralph is a more confident Phil. He says the right things in the media, and seems to have bonded with the players.
The roster is definitely the major issue. Krueger cannot magically make better forwards appear, but he also executes the game day lineup, and it's puzzling at best.

Guess what I received
On the web today
Words of deep concern
From the Sabres fans
The building's not going as Botts planned
The goalie has injured his leg
The centers will not clear a path
The GM swears he knows his plan
The players are going home
The players are going home
The players are going home

Have we lost Jack somewhere along the line? Jack's friends think not. Jack claims to be the same old guy, just newer. His vision, memory, and reasoning ability have all been improved, but it's still Jack.

Ralph is supposed to be this great motivator but when his team "needs" to be motivated they fall flat like Diet Coke on an airline.

is the coach responsible for Passing? Cause this team sucks a franking container load of Richards at passing. I have never seen in my life such bad passing, this year is even worse then the last 5

I think in the 3rd period alone, they had 4 or 5 decent opportunities and they missed the net on each shot. And that back hand pass from Jack to Montour, to many missed opportunities.
That and the suck at shooting, they are horrible. - Buff36
We can add Skating too, I swear last night in the 3rd Lockport Larry had 3 shifts where he looked like he need to wear double bladed skates. he spent more time falling for no apparent reason then upright. my wife even said something to the effect of "why does that player keep falling all by himself"...
