I'll just fix all the problems at once.

Kapanen + timashov and whatever the (frank) else for Manson

Bracco for Desmith

Dermott + for Josh Anderson

Ceci for some Gatorade and protein to get close on the cap and feed all that added testosterone.

I don't have the energy to do the lines from there but I'm pretty sure they are tits.

They can send me a cup ring in the mail if they want.

Ceci's salary would have to go prior to a Lindholm coming in. It would never fit.
- joel878

I think it depends on Rielly's return date.

But Lindholm isn't likely to go anywhere until the summertime (if at all).

Ducks, may be willing to listen ..but only if you overpay.

Ya, Barrie over Dermott for sure but if the idea is to move Barrie away from Rielly and you already like Muzzin/Holl then that 3rd pairing of Sandin-Barrie is pretty risky.

I'm just thinking that if Ceci is good enough on the 3rd pairing with Sandin ...and the Muzzin/Holl pairing continues to be very good ...and Rielly is back and healthy and you want a new partner.

Then Dermott gets slid down the order and Barrie gets traded for some pretty nice assets (to replace the assets you probably traded to get Rielly's new partner).

If Sandin sticks for the rest of the year, and I think he does, it's a good problem to have.

Muzzin - Holl as our shutdown pair
Dermott - Barrie
Sandin - Ceci

Once Rielly gets back, we might only need to add one more D-man as an upgrade on Ceci

Apparently the Leafs were trying to get Subban in the summer.

That was my point ...what does Barrie fetch at the TDD?

Gotta be a 1st and a prospect, no?

If so flip that plus for Rielly's new partner.

Keep the fwd group together if you can (especially if Mikheyev is out for the year).

That my Lindholm request. Flip Barrie for assets, move those assets for Lindholm. Include Bracco if you have to, because really Barrie wouldn't fetch you Lindholm straight up.

Barrie is a great skater, and I like him, and there are all sorts of advanced metrics that sit there and tell me what a great addition he is to the team now that Keefe has let him go - like his xGF is 13th among defensemen since, and so on. But my eyes and my common sense are offended by it.

Maybe I'm just old. You know - I can't accept that in baseball a guy can hit .213 and strike out 220 times as long as his OPS is good and he hits a lot of home runs - no matter what the advanced analytics folks tell me. That guy sucks at baseball. Just like Barrie sucks at defense.

In other words, personally I'm quite fine moving on from this experiment even if it is working how Dubas wants it to.

Don't get me wrong on my wishlist. I think that's true - but the Ducks should be entering full-on rebuild mode. I don't Lindholm is there when they turn that corner, so they'll need to move on from him eventually. But what's the point in moving him NOW when what we in this little thread are offering is about the same as they would fetch in the last year of his contract.

Yup, my mindset's the same. I think Barrie can be great but with the Leafs now burning Sandin's ELC I've seen enough of him to believe he can fill that void enough. Plus, if the goal is to add a DMan to pair with Rielly then you've only got so many minutes to roll around. Barrie becomes a luxury.

And I'd rather move that luxury then one of the young locked-in forwards.

If Ceci cold have been traded for Gatorade, it would have happened long ago.

With Muzzin, Barrie, and Ceci, alll on expiring contracts, I'll be curious to see what theyuse the $11M in cap space for......

Anyone who agrees with you is probably just another guy who makes up random opinions in his head to be different than everyone else.
- Santo_44

i might agree if I’d ever seen hintz play👍

i’d like them to trade perimeter willi for another legit defensive defenseman👍🏿
