I don't think he is far off of Marner...He is finally being used as a major PP option and it is proving effective.

You could say that about most Leaf players, so why are you only throwing Willy under the bus?

It's a learning experience and hopefully if they make the playoffs this year, they learned from the previous years.

Haven't they started to shift toward Kaskisuo already? He's been the better goalie down there by far.

I remember back when Sundin was playing, there was some prospect in Sweden who had a very similar name. I can't recall exactly what. . . it wasn't Sandin apparently, but it was like that. I remember thinking what a headache it would be to have both players.

But in my search, I noticed something I didn't know . . . the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted Bruce Boudreau, Ron Wilson, and Ken Holland all in the same draft year - 1975. Our first pick of the next year was Randy Carlyle.

All of those guys went to learn hockey in some other organization because they wouldn't have learned it here.
