and barrie WILL get traded if the leafs wont make it, that's a given

i would be fine with any return at that point as we'll be looking forward...but i cant see that happening, i think we push hard and make it.

Barrie may get a pretty good return. Lots of teams look for PP help at the deadline.

If you set aside the Matthews pick (nobody gets credit for that) and the Marner pick (every pick in the top ten - except Strome - is a great pick), then the drafts are woefully lacking.

Since 2015, other than Matthews and Marner, there is a total of 259 NHL games played.

Dermott eats up 137 of those, and let's be honest here, he has a ceiling. And it's not on the top floor.

To be fair to Dubas, there are still developing players. Liljegren will play in the NHL. Sandin will. Robertson will.

But damn, look at the list. It's appallingly bad.

If the implication here is that that's my mentality... You should be aware that I was a huge advocate of Babcock being fired, and I was very vocal in the I told you so department when they went on a run about it.

I also never once said blow it up, my only angle in that department has been with regards to Barrie.

My position is that if the team continues to fade into the TDL as they have been the last 6 games, there's no logic in pretending they will win a cup as at that rate they might not even be a playoffs.

This immature position assuming sarcasm shtick is a bad look when people who aren't documented to be (frank)ed in the head like Santo do it.
