Nice - I’d like a Les Paul Standard some day. |

Didn't he play on a line with MacKinnon and Drouin in Halifax?
Also, wtf happened in here last night?

Well the Leafs are outside a playoff slot. They are giving up goals consistent with the worst teams in the league.
When Hainsey was playing they made the playoffs and they were better overall in defending.
Leafs need some gravitas on back end. Problem is not D or goaltending, It is the forwards failing to defend.
Tavares is -7. No serious contender can aspire to championship play when their captain serves up the example of a -7 on their plus/minus rating. - spatso
Part of the problem the last few weeks has been goaltending for sure. Looking at things from all angels, it has been probably the biggest factor.
I dont care about plus minus |

So, trade Andersen and Hutchinson for Rask and Halak? |

we need a couple games of And0rsen realistically. Hopefully the all-star game increased his confidence a bit, playing in a high stakes match against the game's best. |

Rask and Halak don't jive with the way this team is designed to play. They're designed to win in high scoring 6-5 games, not 6-1 games. |

Matt Dumba
https://mapleleafshotstov...att-dumba-minnesota-wild/
he looks terrible this season
Matt Dumba fits the mold of an offensive defenseman with a great shot, but it can come at a cost, as shown by his two-way and defensive play so far this season. I see parallels to Tyson Barrie in many ways. When they are on top of their game, scoring goals, utilized on the power play, with good teammates, and sheltered more on defense, they can contribute.

He's not the tier of player you trade anyways, not unless you're rebuilding and even then his age/contract is not something you want to move. Pretty sure the word is that he's untouchable along with 34/91/16. - gravyface
Yep. Any trade that would be acceptable for him would involve the kind of player who is also untouchable for his team. The crackheads around here want to trade him for a 3rd dman. |

Kreider has made it clear that he will not be traded to a Canadian team. I don't get why people keep adding him a trade proposal to the Leafs. |

Agreed.. It sounds like he's looking for a D-man with term.. I think we might see a move similar to the Muzzin trade, without giving up a 1st rd pick...
hopefully |

I don't think anyone reasonable suggested trading him for a 3rd pairing dman.
Some nut suggested willie for goergy, but that had to be during a seizure. |

Hopefully the break improves our team D.
Sure it would be nice to see Andersen back to standing on his head and being the mvp of the team again.
But its only a bandaid fix, need to improve team D as well

Take care of the puck and the tending will be fine, we’re playing a bunch of 4567 D lately.

Stop the pucks and the D will be fine
Edit: I don’t actually fully believe that sentence but I don’t believe your either.
Both can be bad. That is possible if you didn’t already know.... |

Exactly
And admittedly Andersen needs to better as well. But the main issue is what youve said. |
