I think if they made it so one of the positions (GM or coach) HAD to be french, that would be a great compromise. I don't give a poop if they're french, english, african or chinese.......JUST BE QUALIFIED!! It's hard enough to win the goddamn cup!! Why make it harder on yourselves and the fans?

wether they got fair value for Subban is not the point. they did trade him (and Patch) at their highest, unlike you mentionned in your first post.

for the French cup and the 23 Englsih ones, one could say they won all 24 cup with more French players than they have now. see how it works?

Do you think Houle or Trembley were qualified? We could say the same about Gainey and Molson. Savard won us some hardware. We could go back and forth on this. At the end of the day it's all about being the best in the business to give you the greatest success.

It's hard to provide context in this medium, especially with such a sensitive subject. I'm not trying to be offensive.....just trying to be real....and frustrated with this poopty team.
