Thank God the all-star weekend is over! I haven't watched the game in years, but caught part of it last night. Wow, was it brutal. Even the 3 vs. 3 format is awful. Every player is skating at about 1/4 speed, it is completely unwatchable. Just really makes you appreciate the level of play these guys play at on an every day basis.
- TheMessiah94

Kreider at 1/4 speed still was way faster than Lias Andersson ever was

I have high hopes for K'andre Personally think it would be a huge mistake to trade either Nils or Miller until we seem them at the pro level. We finally have some prospects and now we want to trade them? Seems rash
- mdw7413

Well, you deal one of them for an equally talented forward because you like what you have on the blue line already. I’m by no means giving them away.

Aiming for the third part of the series for Tuesday. Let me know if you guys have found these interesting, beneficial or just a regurgitation of what you already knew and/or thought.

I wonder if its any easier getting traded during bye week, so players get some time to move/relocate?

Zuccarello really signed with the most boring franchise in the world, nobody will see him ever again, that part of it is kind of sad

good for him that he got a fat contract until he's 38 though

probably more of a pain in the ass than a normal trade because I think they are all scattered on vacations right now

Top Defense men arent available and if one was, it would cost a lot more than a package of Shady and a first round pick.

Why would a team trade a second liner for Buchy if you consider Buchy a third liner? Third liners are easier to come by. So why would a team actually downgrade its roster?

Pkg's make anything happen : get a potential top 6 fwd like Tor. Kapanen you pkg Georgiev +Buchny +pick or prospect

Top D ...Burns ? S J breaking up the show soon ?= Sklei in a pkg. + Georgiev OR a top prospect like Lundkqvist or Miller ...

Pkg's make all the bump get smoothed out .... we have the depth to pkg any way we want , gotta know what our CORE moving fwd.

Let’s overpay for a winger, that makes sense. Burns has five more years at $8 mil per after this one, so we expect the last three years of that deal to be worth it? I sure don’t.

A dA gets a shot a right D on top pair with Trouba ?
I have read he knows & has played off on Left side ,Troubas biggest problem is over extending /trying to do tooo much, when he pushes his O game his D suffers badly ,when he stays home with a lead like A dA pushing the O his #'s are great , Him & Skjei force the game not letting it come to them , when Trouba just plays D first & fills in the O as it falls to him he will be a beast ....
Needs a O minded tough SOB & our AdA could fill that slot .
Pairs : Trouba A dA
Fox Lingren
problem is 3rd pair ?
Staal or Sklei goes off to right OR
Rykov gets the call & pairs with Skjei?Hijak maybe too

example of what we need & we should over pay to do it ,You find the force we want
to get in a trade ..cant keep prospects & picks ,they never fill out the team at the time you need them .We need a top 6 & top D now not in 2 yrs & theres no one coming that will jump that far that fast . you do the math , hitching up to K K or Krastov is fine but not gonna fill the sheet with wins ,we made a major move for a top 3 wing & top 2 D in Panarin & Trouba ..match that again in deals & with our core we could do damage

You make a smart trade, not an overpayment given where the team is. If we’re contending for a stanley cup, then yes, but not now.

your pinching, not looking to get ripped off ,just get what you want with an extra pick
maybe if someone dynamic a prospect But we are close to that stage of the team , If this team gets HOT with 2 gms in hand & gets in the mix in 2 weeks ? i love the chance to have what the NYR has in stock of players picks prospects & what we Add is
what we know we need to win.... shedding dead wood as we go aint bad either , like sloughing dead skin off with a loufa sponge

It seems like it would be easy to build a winner in the world you live in where salary caps don't exist and all other teams just want to make deals to give away all their top talent.
Not to mention you are a couple years late on getting Burns the beast and you over-value Kapanen by half.

Brent Burns turns 35 in a month and is making 8 million a year until 2025

what in the world did San Jose do to themselves

Nashty PLEASE, PLEASE put down that pipe, we need more than a top Dman and Top winger, we need a whole forth line, we need our present third line to age a bit and become the scorers we hoping for.

The team isnt 10 points out of a playoff spot no reason. Even if we win both games against the Red Wings do you really think we are a real playoff team?? Come on wake up.

Taking into consideration the fact that Panarin is having a career year and carried the team to an extra 2-4 wins that would be another 4 to 8 points out of a playoff spot.

Burns?? WTF I thought your wanting DD was bad, this is even worse. Jeezz

Yea Burns is probably the last player in the league the rangers should acquire lol if SJ does break it down eventually, I’d be in on Meier or Hertl tho

I took Jan's advice and scrolled through ADAs Twitter. It changed my mind. It's not that he is a Trump person, it's that a large percentage of his posts are things that as a GM make me cringe and I would simply prefer he not post. This is for a guy who has been addressed for "maturity issues" multiple times and is still on a "prove it" contract.

Signing him to a long term deal scares me that he could turn into Antonio Brown if he knows the team is stuck with him and has to pay him to go away.

Gorton may be able get a kings ransom for ADA and I think he should. If he can bundle Smith with him to fix next year's cap situation that is even better.
