I trust the football side I do not trust the hockey side on draft day.

And that's fine. However, the reason is that the staff in place just isn't getting the job done. No geriatric looking down from above is going to change that.

I’m glad there will be a game to talk about later. Let’s see how rested and motivated these guys are, against a perceived inferior opponent who played last night.

I don't trust the hockey side today, tomorrow, or on draft day.

I don't trust the hockey side in free agency.

I don't trust the hockey side, not even a little bit. I do not trust them at all.

I feel like with just a little more effort we could have turned this into haiku...or at least a Dr. Seuss type of rhyme.

The team, that many thought couldn't embarrass their fans anymore, has find a way to dig deeper into a hole that is pushing their fans to the brink of talking about anything other than hockey.

It seems to be working on the football side without a President/Vice President/"Experienced Old Fart that's been doing Footbaw since you were in diapers".

The Sabres problem isn't that they don't have someone above Jason Botterill between him and the Pegulas. The problem is that Jason Botterill doesn't seem to be a good enough GM to put together a contender.

- buffalofan19

Which is why you put the experienced guy with jason....

Ralph. - pres.
Botts - gm
Lindy - special consultant
Gallant - coach.

Is better than

Kim - pres
Botts. - gm
Ralph - coach.

Hell even....

Ralph - President
Botts - gm.
Gallant or Laviolette or Lindy - coach

Is better than the structure the Pegulas have had in place since the booted Patty LaLa to the curb...or he quit.... or whatever...

The team needs more hockey minds doing hockey things...

it's obvious to me, Kruger is not the long term solution as head coach

2 centers and 2 RWs

We'll also see if larry and girgs are interested in coming back to this poop show. Might be 2 more spots there. Would be nice if JB were interested in moving Okposo

So let's call it an even 7 forward holes to fill.

Then we'll be "legit contenders"

- jcragcrumple

Lazar,Asplund, maybe Mitts if he doesn't get moved, Rustalanion, Tage, Cozens.
And whoever we do trade for, because I think you will see either a RW or C come here in a trade.

The notion of Kruger being a front-office heir apparent is based on nothing other than rampant speculation.

The rift with LaFontaine was inevitable from the word go, albeit I don't think anybody expected it to happen so quickly. The guy quit the Islanders with Neil Smith after a week on the job. That falls under the "fool me twice, shame on me" category.

If Ralph can't inspire Sheary, Bogo, Vesey, McCabe, Johansson, etc etc etc

How can one expect him to inspire Botts

unless the millennials on our roster is content to just get a paycheck

I do not like Sobotka or Sheary
They do not make me cheery
Vesey is a joke
my emotional wallet is broke
DJ Bogo has to go
He doesn't have a sick flow
If Jack decides to quit
my love of hockey will go to sh!t

flip side to the coin

Lafontaine had many thoughts on the sabres culture, direction and current state of mind

The owner at the time thought he knew more about the sport and in essence ignored Pat

I'm sensing a theme with these 4. They suck.

And Ralph cant motivate Johansson to be a 2C when he's a 3LW

The guy already had a history of leaving jobs unfinished. It was a "him" thing as much as it was a "the owner" thing.

Coyotes are 3 points out of first place

we are 19 points out

if we miss the playoffs next season it will be the longest playoff drought in NHL History

it was both, patty didn't want to stick around to be a puppet figure

from what I hear, the pegula's have learned from their mistakes, but this past 13 months is very puzzling

I was speaking more in terms of poorly run. Think of all those years of bad draft picks and poor moves.

Also they are 3 points out of 9th
