Yeah, Murray sucked. You'll get no argument from me on that. At some point Botterill's track record needs to stand on its own merits instead of needing to be compared to GMTM to look acceptable. I would argue that time happened over the summer. Some are still fine with pointing to the GMTM boogeyman as the reason we suck

I agree, Botts needs to get his head out of his Ass. I really think the next 7 months are big for Botts, he needs to get it right or I would send him packing. I hate bringing up TM, and he had pressure on him from the Pegula's, but he really screwed up, and Botts is still paying for it in some ways, but Botts has his own (frank) ups to.

He needs to address the glaring weaknesses this team has though and we need to make the playoffs next year end of story.

Unless Bettman is going to reward us for being mediocre I’m not.

Out of all years to not pick top 10 we decide this year we are going to be meh.

It’s not necessarily an anti-tank move, I’d cream in my shorts if we managed to get a top 10 pick this year.

If we are going to move a first rounder though, that is the type of player I’d do it for though cause his best hockey is ahead of him not behind him (or close to falling off a cliff)

It would signify that the Sabres are more worried the "now" and not where we will be drafting.

Moving said 1st round pick is as "anti-tank" as humanly possible. Why tank with out the 1st?

Why on earth, or in this universe would they take Okposo?

If you were trading Reinhart to Calagary, would you for 1 second consider taking Lucic back?
Even with a mere 2nd 1 year out the answer is no.

Cap dumps for berglund and sobotka (okposo @ 3 years)
Tage
Better 1st rounder
2nd rounder in 2021

Similar trade, and ror is legitimate 2c with a great contract.
