In 3 years, Botterill made 18 selections at the draft, that's on average, less than one per round. Murray made 27 selections in 3 drafts

That doesn't really fit the narrative though.

He traded nearly a full draft's worth of picks for Vesey, Miller and Frolik

2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Much rather have saved those picks than traded for that crap.

Mind you, want them to go the playoffs. I want them to this year, next year and so forth.

I just don't see the team as it's currently constructed, making to the playoffs.

Botts would need a big off season to improve upon the roster.

I agree with you. I think folks have put a lot of hope into this offseason due to the number of players on expiring contracts. And they assume everyone brought in to replace them will be way better than who’s here now. Time will tell but the gap is wide. There are real good teams in this division.

To be fair, Sobotka wasn't awful when playing with Mojo and Skinner. He helped create space for the others to rack up points.

It's still a point that they should have had a better option than Sobotka there, but he wasn't a complete boat anchor.
