Can someone who follows junior hockey tell me how legit manic I should get about Robertson? Is this one of those deals where a guy scores a zillion points at one level but it means nothing in the NHL, like Connor Brown, or is he for real a draft steal? Is it too soon to start sucking my own Richard over this? - Zezel
Not too soon.
Who is Robertson?

I swear to goodness, spellcheck turned leave to Leafs.

Is he REALLY that good or are you knob gobblin' a bit?
Seems like a Bracco type to me....and I'm not expected Bracco in too many NHL conversations....unless a sweetner in a trade...then he's fu3king awesome! - underhill14
Robertson has an overwhelming shot, a never-stop-moving mentality, a physical snarl and a net-driven approach to the game, all of which help him use those aforementioned puck skills to make NHL-level plays. - Scott Wheeler

Calls him a blue chip prospect, too. Dubas.
Also, yes. Bracco is the ultimate sweetener. |

Bracco is the type of sweetener we need to get Georgiev.. Matthews alone is not enough for him. |

At the time of his selection to the All-Star game, Freddy was pretty much the only reason the Leafs won games. - GreatGigInTheSky
Which bunks the argument that they would be firmly in a playoff spot if not for Freddy. They are exactly where they should be. |

Nah. The 9-10-4 start under Babs is why they are where they’re at now.
35 out of a possible 52 points under Keefe.
35 / 52 = .673
They’ve played 49 games in total, so that’s 98 possible points.
.673 x 98 = 65.9 or 66 points
Leafs should be 4 points behind the Bruins with 2 games in hand for 1st in the Division. |

the weakening of the the team by dubas in the off season is why they are where they are right now.

Two more assists for Liljegren.
But the Marlies lost again. They've dropped off significantly since Keefe went to the Leafs. |

More than a goal a game. Scores in all different ways. Lethal shot. PP. PK. Never stop motor.
He’s like Trevor Moore (play style and size), but with Matthews goal scoring. - Steven_Seagull
I'd compare him to Konecny with a better shot.

Here is a little tid bit about Robertson. If he was born a few days later he would be in this up coming draft and not last years. Youngest player picked i think, not even a month older then Lafrenière. With the numbers and his play this year, scouts are now saying he could be top five if he went this year.
Dubas got a steal in the 2nd round last year. He picked a younger kid with potential and not just by the numbers and it looks like it will pan out. Think of a Gaudreau/Gallagher hybred if this kid pans out imo.

Remember when Fox tried that terrible glowing puck thing because Americans couldn't follow the puck? |

I was listening to Sirius at the all-star game and they discussed the Leafs. They basically said Leafs are in big trouble because they only winb when the goalie bails them out.
This myth won't die. Ridficulous.
