Here's a thought ,when it comes to the shootout, let the goalies pick which opposing players they will face., This will give the lesser skilled players a chance , of course the shooters can only be used once, should the goalies be successful they will eventually have to choose from the better players.

you would think uttering the phrase "every NHL executive reads my blogs" would make people realize maybe this blog shouldn't be taken at face value.

Cool goal points....... really.......

Double points for “cool goals”?

Drafting your playoff opponent would be cool!

I still think win's should be worth 3 points and ties be worth 1 point. The shootout is fun, but achieves very little.

Also, instead of the draft lottery. The bottom 4 teams should have a round robin tournament for draft position

Should only use regulation wins as tie breaker as well not regulation and OT

Sorry, but this is nonsense. It reads like that dad who has never ever played the game giving suggestions to his kid's minor hockey coach...who has played the game for 45yrs.

Maybe just hit the big white button in the middle of your controller and have your fun there. This is hockey, it's a multi-billion dollar industry with thousands (millions?) of jobs involved, all competing, and growing, and developing. You are totally trivializing so many people's careers, all the way down to the 5yr old's watching the event.

I find it dreadful. There are far too many entitled people in the world that think they can come into someone else's profession and criticize and dictate what THEY think.

Just watch the show, it lasts two days, it's for the kids...no big deal.

You seem confused. Grab a calculator and do the math yourself.
