I have no issues with people who want to trade Nylander.. Heck, I have no issues with those that want Matthews traded either, if it helps us win a Cup, trade everyone.

The frustrating part is hearing the Toronto media and Leaf fans that want Nylander traded for a Marc Methot/Erik Gudbranson type of player.

You guys do realize that goaltending stats are partly a reflection of the team in front of them right? If you're team is total poop you probably see more danger chances and likely won't have great stats. Th Leafs got worse defensively, therefore Freddy's stats also got worse. I've always said he was middle of the pack, but you can win with middle of the pack if your defence doesn't suck.

You do realize that the Leafs team defense looks almost the same as the Rangers, right? Shots against and high danger chances all night long. Difference is, I think yours has more experience and probably a little better stats on the latter.

Just play some better D in front of the goalchie we have now or trade some good players for another goalie and play pond hockey ( like we do now some games )in front of him and end up with the same results 🤷🏻‍♂️

Earlier on TSN Radio, Bob McKenzie said that the Leafs want to acquire either a RHD or LHD who has experience playing on the right side and someone with term.

Said teams would likely want Kapanen, Kerfoot or Johnsson for that certain D.
Basically said Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Nylander are untouchable.

I have no issues with people who want to trade Nylander.. Heck, I have no issues with those that want Matthews traded either, if it helps us win a Cup, trade everyone.

surely, no one, whether you are a Nylander fan or not - would suggest that those are reasonable trades - they clearly are NOT.

I may sound like the olde man screaming at kids to get off his lawn...
at what point in time do we the fan base openly start to push these media donkeys to the curb?

personally, I'm done and have been for a while - with listening to "seemingly knowledgeable" insiders... as 95% of what they spew is the same garbage we talk about in here...

had to balance salaries...

and if you think you can get a Gibson (I believe Anaheim says no, all day), then the price is high.

This is all coming from my perspective that the biggest problem on the Leafs is goaltending so I am aiming for the top.
