Other than Minny’s huge immovable contracts they need to spread the cap around better over more players. It sure sucks the position they are in & it will be painful for a few years.

My offers are to help us & somehow give Minny more flexibility. That is the angke I’d pursue. Not saying other teams won’t out offer us but i do see us having the pieces to at least be in the bidding.

Do you really think we have a team that can go all the way this year or next? Patience man, the team is very young.
- NorthNuck

Sure why not? Anything is possible....esp if markstrom gets even hotter.

They’re a rebuilding team and we can’t (and Shouldn’t) match an offer like that

Romoured yes & hard to compete against. Leafs more in a win now & overall not the assets that we can offer in a bigger package imo.

Leafs aren't very good at drafting, they might as well restructure again

Revised offer...

Dumba for Stetcher/Woo/Beagle/B prospect

Cap has to work for us so feel free to rearrange the offer.

D help is obviously needed & pretty well set up front. Dubas needs to make tough decisions.

Teams aren't looking for garbage and scraps in the same offer.

Hughes Tanev
Edler Dumba
Fantenberg Myers
Benn

Tanev contract for another day but we can survive if he walks. Much depends in assets out & how it fits longterm.

Play along & counter. I don’t want to hear a media dissection report. Playing devil’s advocate saying garbage & scraps is not constructive.

DUMBA

1) kick tires
2) stand pat
3) a package offer we can live with
4) one of only 1 trade needed to be compliant

After so many years of wanting trades to happen, outside of finding whatever we can for baer and goldy I don’t have much interest in trades. Don’t mess with a good thing and all those other cliches.

I'm in the same boat, I'd like to see this healthy as can get team go with what they have. I think we have the depth to cover us unlike years previous. So stand pat at trade deadline is my vote.

If we can get Dumba and make the cap work, yes. Gaudette is more of a middle 6 forward, Dumba is a legit top 4 dman with 20 goal upside. I like Gaudette, but Dumba is only 2 years older and an established core piece.

To be clear, I wouldn't trade Gaudette unless it's for a clear upgrade that fits in with this core's age group.

- Nucker101

Tough call not a fan of trading Gaudette at this stage even if a Dumba is involved. But I guess it could depend on the return. I watched Dumba lot here in Red Deer not sure he's a long term fit for the club here.

If they miss out, we get a pick in a great draft. If we make it it’s great for the new core. Win-win but no need to try to force things.

If they are trading Dumba they will want, at a minimum, a 1st round pick, a top prospect (think Podkolzin), a roster player, maybe a Sutter, or maybe a D (to replace Dumby) and because he’s still young and under contract, maybe a b prospect like Madden or Rathbone.

You are very wrong. You are both wrong. Two firsts, a roster player and a 2nd is essentially what you are saying. 🛀 🧂
