Thx
So I’ll be JB & you be Minny’s GM
Dumba for Sven/Stetcher/Tryamkin/2nd
Cap has to work for us. None if my offers will include a 1st. Aim is to help restock Minny & do with cheaper contracts til they can somehow get out from their big contracts. - Nighthawk

Middle 6 offensive-minded center, a Bonino type? Maybe better if he has the inner drive to improve that guys like EP, Sedins, Kesler, etc have
I think Madden actually has a higher ceiling. - Nucker101
I see AG as a poor mans Linden type. Plays with a similar drive & hunger to improve constantly. Suited for 3C duties & play wing if supplanted. Ceiling as high as 2C but more likely 3C. Cost control. |

They are on virtually the exact same career path
Both in 2nd season scored at a 1.4 ppg. I would say the only difference on that is Madden is doing it by his self vs Gaudette had hobey baker Zach Aston Reese and Dylan Sikura. Where Madden has Zach Solow who has 8 less points than Madden.
Madden does have Aidan McDonaugh playing on his wing who is a ppg player, is a rookie in the NCAA but he's actually 3 days older than Madden. |

Madden's faster so I can see his offense potentially translating better, I'm not saying he's a lock to be better or even as good as Gaudette but I think he's a bit more dynamic. |

Reese & Sikura’s careers are going nowhere so far & AG continues to improve. He didn’t have sheltered minutes as much as he had no talent to play with til of late. |

Depth chart wise I see Madden as a 4C pest with a motor & skills. Has upside to be better or if injuries. He also drives the play. |

Madden has more skilled i'd say. There's never a lock, just projections of what seems realistically possible
For me I've always had Gaudette topping out at 45-50 points a season and Madden just barely above him at 50-55.
With the way offence is going in the league. I might have to start bumping my numbers up
Van media is worrying about the Canucks have too much "dead money" in the future. Might be needing a bunch of marinated youth contracts. |

That's fawking great. I remember watching NE games and Gaudette didn't seem to play much with Reese - He was primarily with Nolan Stevens or Sikura. Regardless, Madden is the prospect I'm most intrigued by, next to Rathbone. I got a feeling they'll both do another year in college. It'd be nice if TM gained a few pounds too. |

So working with maybes, maybe this is the right time and maybe this isn't the right time. We've come back full circle. - manvanfan
Ding ding ding. Of course this could be the right time, could be the wrong time I'd just say the possibility of the younger Canucks getting better is more realistic than them having their career years this year and never living up it them again.
Though, Markstrom is more prime to plateau or regress, and goaltending masks the most. |

A lot of Powerplay points were scored. They also loaded the line with the top 3 quite often when they needed to score.
Madden talked about turning pro this season but didn't. I think it was Wiesbrod who said Rathbone could run the Utica PP this season.
I'm guess those 2 are on JB's sign for the summer list. |

Don & yourself hash it out unless you believe this a final offer & no negotiating is there. - Nighthawk
There is no way in hell Guerin isn’t getting Huuuuuge return on Dumba. Think more along the lines of Demko, a second and gaudette as starting point |

The dead money is the single biggest task at hand. It will become priority 1 if not already.
Some will expire at seasons end eg Schaller 1.9m. A decision on Stetcher which i say trade him & replace with an ELC 2.33m fir 900k if no significant trade upgrade. JV & AG & Marky need a raise. Tanev we need but especially on a team friendly deal. Much is unknown how all those players want to win & leave money on the table.
2021-22...
Sutter gone 4.38m, Pearson 3.75m is a tough call. Depends on prospects & how much he wants or possibly traded for asset management. I prefer a team friendly deal.
Cap needed to resign EP & Huge. Cap increasing helps & the new TV contract to who knows what degree. E-draft could help as well.
Overall JB has more dead money to move out & ELC’s to making the team. OJ being one.

My offer was a low starting point. Yours is a Guerin counter. Huuuuuge is an exageration. Somewhere in the middle is more likely or we say no thx. |

Demko has only 25 games of NHL experience. Kind of hard to believe but you need about 60 to get NYR type deals for goalies.
Derek Stepan
Antti Raanta
For
Anthony DeAngelo
2017 1st round pick
Antti Raanta is not good. |

A 3C who is getting better.
A back up trending very well.
A 2nd which is a high pick these days.
3 very key cheap pieces that isn’t happening. He might be Guerin asking high & hopes someone can bite but not us. Dumba won’t fetch that unless the perfect trade partner steps in. The cap makes it a no go. |

id rather sell off Stecher and Benn, re-sign Fantenburg to a cap/team friendly contract and promote Rafferty.
why the hell are people so obsessed with Dumba. |

He hasn't really shown the capabilities to be one consistently so far. He's certainly not worth getting raped over the coals for. |

hes not worth acquiring at all is my point
in 23 AHL games, dumba had 14 points
Rafferty has played 40 AHL games and has 37 points.
Dumba has 2 less points than Tanev this year, and 3 goals
Again, i don't even understand why hes even brought up in here. Hes another team's scraps. |
