And trading a HOF dman that if he retires you are still on the hook for an absurd amount of dead cap money.

That's great!
Sometimes I miss playing.

I have basically just gotten to the point where I no longer get super nervous or stress over mistakes. And we are only playing to about 40-50 people!
It's so much fun. We pride ourselves on playing songs that no other cover band in town plays. This gig we are debuting Bennie and the Jets, Locomotive Breath and Summer in the City.
Slightly all over the map!!!

Igor to play next two games, allows Huska to get work

which also makes sense that Igor isn't going to AHL all star game, because that would be 3 games in a row

Two key points, bold in first one is the important point:
1) If so, if general manager Jeff Gorton can stoke a bidding war for the 23-year-old pending restricted free agent with arbitration rights, if the Blueshirts could get a no-doubt top-nine winger with potential top-six upside, this would be the time to strike.

2) There is no reason for Gorton to be stampeded into making a choice before its time, that is true, but, again, this could well be the only time the Rangers have leverage in trade talks as it applies to Georgiev. The last thing they need is to be sitting at the draft table in Montreal and fielding offers of late second-rounders and/or thirds for No. 40

Cool stat on Marc Staal:
Marc Staal has been on the ice for a total of 13 goals against in 458:42 of five-on-five play (per NaturalStatTrick.com) in going plus-one primarily playing with Tony DeAngelo against top-six matches.

You should post that stat on blueshirt banter who all seem to think Staal is worse now than Rich Pilon.

I thought he was playing better defensively. See TPC. You can suck it now

Absolutely obvious that he has been better.
But, did you see that play last game (forgive me, I forget whether it was a goal) when NYI broke out on a 2 on 1, with Staal trying to catch up?? Ooof. He looked like a 10 year old nag in the Kentucky derby he was falling behind so fast!

His positioning has been a lot better, but yeah, that was funny. He definitely needs to keep the forwards in front of him

I know. I just have been a critic of Staals for the last few years, so I have to give him credit this year, he has been playing well defensively.

Would tronna do Kapanen for Skjei and Georgy? Maybe they take back Ceci as a salary dump if they need, or a pick to Leafs

I think that’s a good groundwork starting point, helps both teams

What if we retained on Skjei? That would put him in the ballpark of Kapanen, and Georgie is peanuts for the remainder of the year.
I was just perusing the Leafs thread to see why Muzzin was sent down and this very idea was proposed.

I think they need to flip flop Lindgren and Skjei. Put Lindgren with Trouba and Skjei with Fox

It's really hard to throw around trade proposals where we start retaining money

I don't have any idea, but I do think we'd be able to trade Skjei over the summer though to a team and not retain any money, which would be the ideal situation

Skjei is moveable for sure. Summer most likely, but deadline could be possible in bigger package

You guys are way more optimistic than me. I think Skjei is worth poop
