Yeah, that trade Markstrom statement pretty much cemented it.

There's an article out saying that Tryamkin can't play for us until next season, but it's misleading. Gusev had same situation, was able to sign and play. The KHL contracts go until the end of April, but regular season ends late February, so if they miss playoffs or have an early exit, he can be released, then sign and play. So JB needs to keep cap space for that potential signing. Tryamkin would be a great late addition to the team.

I think it meant he can't play in the playoffs if we make it

I would be very surprised if Brisebois isn't on the team next season.

I read it as Alex says there is a window he can play for us before the NHL PO’s.

It would take an early exit from the KHL PO’s if JB can even consider it.

With you on that. If Fantenberg not resigned I’d think it’s very possible.

Hughes
Edler
Brisebois/Benn

OJ could also be on the team

Rafferty has a shot next year to make it. If not a RHD call up is fine.

Nope i was tracking Capfriendly when they were running 22. Went up to 23 when Sutter returned. Back to 22 when Mac sent down. I argued nothing I only made a supposition. It could be for other cap related reasons idk of.

I call a spade a spade & a dimwit he is. Most recently he quotes an article & suggests the poster doesn’t read. He doesn’t read nor get all the facts.

Shocking.

Boeser is making 5.8 mil buried on the third line no points in 4 games.

You can bet JV's agent will be all over Benning if JV keeps producing in the top 6.

Yes oj could be too
Dont see brisebois or Chatfield tho. They don't know how to play defense very well. Doubt they ever make the team, especially with this lineup

Brisebois plays with Rafferty as the defensive backbone on that pair.

Ya, they will probably just waive him.
Remember Benning praises him fairly regularly, he will get a legitimate chance, before they have to expose him on the waiver wire.

He has been developing nicely but he still has some time to serve yet. I would put OJ ahead of him but more importantly Canucks have Edler Hughes Benn Tramkin Fantenberg all on the Left side to play ahead of him.

If the scenario that both Brisebois & Rafferty get 3rd pairing next season still need Benn around as a vet 7th. Also Stetcher would be gone unless we run 13/8.
Combos of the 3rd pair is anyone’s guess then.

Ya I know was just saying Jake's demanded for a contract just went way up if he continues to produce in the top 6. Which is fine for us now but do you see him in the top 6 long term?

Long term if sustains consistency or up & down the top 9. Will be an interesting contract discussion. I’m confident in JB.

Jake could price himself out of this market if he asks for too much.
