There's an article out saying that Tryamkin can't play for us until next season, but it's misleading. Gusev had same situation, was able to sign and play. The KHL contracts go until the end of April, but regular season ends late February, so if they miss playoffs or have an early exit, he can be released, then sign and play. So JB needs to keep cap space for that potential signing. Tryamkin would be a great late addition to the team.

I don’t consider a group that’s comprised of fringe NHL talent “depth”. I don’t think JB should be resting on his laurels. He’s still got work to do.
- bloatedmosquito

Whom are fringe talent for their contracts & roles? Agree more work to do but idk what that should be done at this time. Offseason no doubt more changes are coming.

You clearly didn't read the article. Tryamkin's season ends Apr. 30. The NHL play offs are in full swing and he can't be added to the roster after the regular season. Also, Tryamkin sucks and can stay the f*ck in Russia. Thanks for dropping by.

JB has been using a 22 man roster for awhile so maybe something like that is being considered to fit in more bodies.

it’s a guessing game as to when Tryamkin’s KHL season will end. The first round typically ends in early March, the second round by March 22, and the third by early April—the same time the NHL regular season ends.

If Tryamkin’s team makes it all the way to the Gargarin Cup Finals, his contract won’t expire until well into the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs—too late to make a late-season comeback.

What all that means is that Tryamkin could return as early as the final month of the Canucks’ regular season—but that will require Yekaterinburg to once again lose in one of the first two rounds of the KHL playoffs. If not, he won’t be able to return until the beginning of the 2020/21 season.

No he hasn't, unless you consider this all star break and the quick Zacmac demotion he has had a 23 man roster almost all season.

Almost is correct. 22 man when Sutter was nearing his return.

Do you think before you write stuff? You just said, they might be going with a 22 man roster for the purpose of bringing in Tryamkin(paraphrasing) then you argue that they only had 22 on the roster because Sutter was about to return.
And you called someone a dimwit.

Yeah but when you average like 5 minutes of ice time per game it’s really more like his 6th or 7th game

Nope i was tracking Capfriendly when they were running 22. Went up to 23 when Sutter returned. Back to 22 when Mac sent down. I argued nothing I only made a supposition. It could be for other cap related reasons idk of.

I call a spade a spade & a dimwit he is. Most recently he quotes an article & suggests the poster doesn’t read. He doesn’t read nor get all the facts.

Yeah, that trade Markstrom statement pretty much cemented it.
