I would say any team that is going to open up roster spots for 4 prospect next year or now are not a team I would be concerned about.

Canucks have their bases covered and they still have about 6 prospects with NHL skill

PodK Hoglander Lind OJ Madden Rafferty Mikey D

- VANTEL

All of those range from 1-4yrs of being ready. There is also others eg Woo Rathbone Malone McDonough with varying possibilities.

I want to share your enthusiasm for the minor league depth that JB has created. That’s all his work and he’s done well. I’m just not there yet on NHL quality at this precise moment.

Saying that, I think we can all agree, next year’s camp will be a good one.

- bloatedmosquito

So will next years team.

2020-21
OJ/Rafferty LHD/RHD should get a legit shot

2021-22
Podkolzin RW a no-brainer
Madden C outside chance
Lind RW at the earliest

2022-23
Hoglander LW most likely to be prime & ready
Madden the more likely ETA
Lind make or break line?

2023-24
Dipietro let the G controversy begin
Woo RHD marinaded & seasoned
Rathbone LHD possibly sooner

My approximates but very open for debating. RW looks deep & JV can go to LW.

Podz is a stud, according to the experts who watch the prospects, Joe Levi has turned his season around in the last 10 games, Lind in on the cusp, the nucks are legit, and GMJB might be be GM of the year for it.

Is it still November haters? JV all the way

Ken Holland pulled strings with JB to get Young Stars back in Penticton. Nice.

At one time or more I suggested JV for his speed & passing & backcheck would be a good complement. The other part was moving Boeser to Bo or AG for depth scoring. That was before Lou Bo Peep formed up. Brock’s scoring has slowed but it’s an adjustment that takes some time.

Great point. It's hard to say what the team needs will be when he is free to sign. His size and mobility translate better to NHL game and are well liked by JB.

The cap space may determine a lot as Canucks are up against it if team healthy. Team might have to wait until summer.

- NuckUp

They have to wait until next season you moron. Don't comment on the article if you didn't read it. You are more stupid than Lord H which is no easy feat.

Boners for Focht but not for Utunen

AHL depth is tops because Boucher, Goldobin and Baertschi are leading the league

The Russian smurf is the highlight of next years prospect camp

That must have been a heck of a party

Sell high on JV. He can be shot gun Jane somewhere else.

Ok another note, very interesting article. I think Pearson for McCann has worked out. JB redeemed getting rid of McCann by acquiring Pearson.

This is from last year but still applies, basically Tryamkin can sign even after the trade deadline and still play in the playoffs this year.

https://www.pensionplanpu...fs-signing-a-european-ufa

"However, if you read that rule it says it doesn’t apply to players on the reserve list or players on loan to the European club. That means players the Leafs already have the rights to, who have been loaned to Europe, are eligible to join the team. They can even join their NHL team after the trade deadline and still play in the playoffs."

In another article it states this also applies to RFA's, so he's eligible for this years playoffs.

Sell high on Tanev also. They both got to go. Jake shouldn't be around young talent, arranging trips to the Roxy etc etc... Need to have guys who are acting like professionals, or family men and not adolescents.

I wouldn't want to drop him into the team just for playoffs. Better to have him for the season when he's able to sign and play the year. Build a role for himself.

Him and Myers together, clearing the crease, would be great.
