Trotz loves Leddy. I thought that might happen this past summer but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Nothing is impossible, but I don't think they're moving Leddy. If they do, it's gotta be one hell of a return.

If Leddy, Dobson, or Wahlstrom cannot be moved, where do the upgrades come from? I would not move Dobson or Wahlstrom. You cannot say Lou tried on the big FA's and failed and then you have not plan b. Plan b can be we will keep this same roster together and hope one year it's good enough.

One interesting thing that that rumored Zajac deal tells me is that, assuming it was true, apparently Lou is confident about being able to add somewhat-significant salary for next season. Zajac carries a cap hit of $5.75M through the end of next year

I have absolutely no interest in Zajac, just saying that if Lou thinks they can take on an almost-$6M cap hit then maybe he's confident about being able to do something this offseason, in addition to signing their in-house players that need deals.

I'd probably have been alright with him as a rental, assuming he was relatively cheap, but I don't really have an interest in him for next season.

Super happy Zajac decided not to waive if it were us. Never a fan. He doesn’t move the needle enough to invest assets. Overrated player.

Again -- that thought had nothing to do with Zajac and everything to do with it appearing that Lou believes adding about $6M in outside help is feasible. I admit that maybe the deal had NJ taking back some salary to offset the cost and that's not the case, but it's still encouraging for this summer.

This is why Leddy might need to be moved in the offseason. Maybe Bailey so Eberle and Wahlstrom are the top two RW? Lou will need to get creative if top FA's are a No.

No way Leddy is a move during this season. Regarding moving Bailey, a 2nd line of Nelson Beau and Wahlstrom next year would be very interesting.

Yes maybe not as good as Bailey, Nelson and Beau but interesting.

I all seriousness Wahlstrom looked good this year but I think he needs some time playing big minutes in the AHL.
He may be the better option next year and if that's the case its a good thing, however that said, you don't move Bailey unless you have a solid replacement. Can't hope Wahlstrom will do it he needs to come up here for a bit and prove it.
