So, you are saying he should have the same punishment (lifetime ban) for a supposed slur, as assaulting both referees?? Please tell me no, you meant something else.
I’m not defending the guy, as I don’t know the details, but you people are crucifying the guy, and you don’t know any of the details, either! - Hokeeguy9
how is anybody crucifying the guy
he said something messed up and admitted/apologized for it. he's an idiot for even saying it in the first place. doesnt mean he deserves a lifetime ban or anything crazy. i dont need anymore details, it's pretty clear what happened. |

Is it? because unless you know exactly what he said, it isn't. I seriously doubt he used the N word so it had to be something else.

there are plenty of other racial slurs that exist outside of just that. either way, he manned up and admitted to it and was allowed to personally apologize. it's been dealt with and his punishment isn't anything beyond the realm of reason. |

Does it really matter which slur he chose? He used a racial slur on the ice. He apologized, and the player accepted it. Which slur isn't known, but the situation seems to be pretty clear. |

Ben Lovejoy. He just said Flyers/Penguins isn't considered a rivalry because the Flyers don't compete with them. - PLindbergh31
Not like he is a authority on anything but meh.
I did hear that. |

Sometimes it does because in this day and age everything is considered a slur, even when it isn't.
Not saying this is the case specifically here, because he admitted wrongdoing and will pay the price.
But in my opinion the whole world is too sensitive and looking for things to be offended about. If everything is offensive than really nothing is offensive.
Calling everyone and anything racist cheapens true racism.

I would agree, except that he felt it warranted an apology after the game, and he did so and accepted the blame. So like you said, I don't think this in particular is a case of over sensitivity.
But yes, the PC is a bit over the top these days, IMO. |

After the, "I like the dig at Philly" comment, I'm sure he'll be full of ubiased and insightful thoughts on the game tonight. |

This team misses the net way too much.
I mean missing the net on a breakaway. Really? |

Mike Milbury is terrible at this. He sounds so stupid every times he talks. It doesn’t even seem like he is paying attention. |

We’re top three in the league at home. Like, we need home ice in the playoffs because we’re that bad on the road. |

I think the road discrepancies have a lot to do with the nonsense with the schedule. Feel like they would be fine in the playoffs. |
