Dont like loading up geno , rust and sid for a whole period. Nothing else can happen at all for the other shifts until they come back. They are getting chances and it prob could be tied...but we havent needed to do this ALL year to comeback in games...injuries or not.

That hooking call doesn’t belong in the game.

Flyers have been hounding the puck carriers. Haven’t had time to even survey the ice. Couple of big saves from Elliot in the third. Not much you can do.

Yup! You never know if they happen not to move Poulin or Legare that could be potential bottom 6 fowards. But I'd move them for a good piece not 35 years old haha.

I wasn't talking about moving prospects for 35 year olds. I was talking about keeping our prospects / draft picks and moving our expensive trash for a 1st line 35 year old(s). Just thinking outside the box.

The Pens looked zapped from the puck drop.

I feel bad for Jarry. Dude was great. His stick skills are exceptional.....saved the D from getting pounded several times tonight.

Yeah, there should be more offsetting hooking / holding the stick penalties at the very least.

Jarry was awesome tonight. He had no chance on those two goals, posted a .929%.

Yeah, he's had so many games giving up 2+ goals where at least 2 goals were not his fault and practically unsavable. That's why a lot of short term goalie stats can be misleading.

So expensive trash for even more expensive trash. Basically don't want any part of those contracts.

If u wanna play the big boys more..I'd have rather seen sid and geno both double shifting as much as possible...if one of them was in the ice almost always that might have been better. Too many forwards didnt play at all...simon chucky AA and laff all rode the pine most the game.

Because they sucked. I'm disappointed in Laff he doesn't really bring anything at all anymore. Chucky sucks, Simon bad game and Agozzino is really really bad.

So 35 points for a defenseman is trash? 19 goals and 31 points for a LW is trash? Wow.

At this point in their careers, they are still 1st line players. I'm saying the length of "those contracts" will largely be irrelevant after the Crosby/Malkin window. As for their current rate, you are not going to find that kind of production for $7.5M by only giving up your own expensive trash.

He'd still be my starter after the break. I don't even think it's close. Glad Murray is playing better though...

Totally agree. Even though Murray is playing better, it's like going from gong show to ugh. I just have no confidence in Murray to turn things around in a meaningful way this season and perhaps beyond. Really glad to have Jarry playing so well this year and to find this out about Murray now instead of, say, next season after his new contract.

Except they won't be irrelevant. If you wanna shorten the window be my guest. I'm glad you're not the GM. You would be giving up much of our younger RFAs next season with those contracts. And who said to find that production with our trash? I'm under the assumption that it be nice just to get a third for Chucky or possibly a swap with another struggling winger. And Bjugs may very well end up our 3c, but we'll have to wait and see.

JJ and Bjug for Suter will not change the Pens salary structure for next season one bit.

I'm saying find that production with our trash with this trade. The alternative is to give up quality assets (high picks, good prospects, good roster players) for that production.

Doubtful anyone is giving a third for Galch, besides, who cares about a third who is unlikely to help in the next 3-5 years? And swapping for another struggling winger means another bottom six winger, which the Pens already have too many of those. Since the end of last season we have lost Kessel and Guentzel. We need at least a bona fide, not struggling, top 6 winger or what's the point?

The only value Galch has is that he has an expiring contract that could be sent to a team that is not actually interested in him but rather to balance out a trade. BUF was about the last team who could have used him and they are about out of it.

Considering how bad of a stinker the game was, I'm not so sure Sully dumping all that stuff on the media guys afterwards was smart. Kinda reminded me of a Therien post-game meltdown a few years back... hope it doesn't come back to bite him.

Just think his comments shoulda been more similar to the players all pretty much saying it was bad, it's over, and we'll rest and move on. Idk, understanding Sully's frustration, maybe it's better to keep it in the room.
