I agree, but it's always a tradeoff. Younger guys with term will cost a lot. So we can either decrease the likelihood of a prospect or two contributing by trading away picks / prospects or we can keep those and take on a bad contract while getting rid of our bad contracts. Granted, the contracts of Galch and Bjug are pretty palatable for most teams, but they'll still want a pick and/or prospect for any decent player in return.

Anyway, I'm excited to see what JR has up his sleeve this time.

I'd love to see him add another young scoring wing with term. I'd be willing to pay a premium for that. The Marino heist and Jarry coming into his own are pretty significant developments. Not to mention Guentzal is signed at a discount.
