After being a healthy scratch Josh Brook was used at RW saturday. But he scored a goal..
The next Mark Streit? |

Agreed with Karyne, trade him for what you can get and if there's still a hole in the lineup and he really wants in, sign him next summer. |

Players don't come back as ufas once you trade them. It's like a sign and trade. More of a myth than anything.
Trade him nonetheless. |

He’s doing well but we have lots of injuries. When Drouin/Gallagher/Byron comes back, what are the lines? Kovalchuk has to play top lines minutes to be effective which would reduce Drouin or Gallagher minutes or put a Lehkonen/Byron on a 4th and à Gallagher or Suzuki on a 3rd.
We had Kovy for free and would brought us a good pick if traded.
Habs has to go selling mode and get the best out of everyone. Prepare for next year, hopefully Colefield gets in and replace Kovy.
And hope for a top 3 pick a Lafreniere or Byfield would bring back the Habs competitive if trades are made correctly. Habs also has to trade Price/Weber or Petty and being a young D prospect that could play top 4 minutes but theses kind of trades are made at summer and not trade deadline |

If they can trade Tatar or Petry for a good D prospect and draft Drysdale with their pick I'd be happy.

L'exception qui confirme la règle.
Nomme moi plusieurs cas au cours des années.
Et plekanec a presque joué toute sa carrière ici. Kovalchuk y a joué 8 matchs. |

Hopefully he just need time, because was he not supposed to be a pretty good prospect of montreal? |

I'm not saying it's a certainty, I'm saying it could happen. They should still trade him. |

At least he's playing. A couple of veteran Ds in Laval probably won't be there next year (Olofsson, Ouelet, Alzner) so Brook will have a bigger role. |

He's 20, this is his first pro season. Some prospects need more time. |

i'd rather see them hang on to him and make a determination based on what their plan is for next year. seriously who gives a poop about another 3rd or 4th rounder? are they going to do the same thing next year and try to be competitive? if so, consider bringing him back. |

Hete’s where i stand on the kovalchuk debate...
He’s super washed up but got signed because the habs are super desperate because they’re super shtty.

I get that he's young but I did not expect him to be a healthy scratch and then to play as a forward.
There would be an opening for a Rhd if they trade Petry, but I think Bergevin will hold on to him, at least for next season. |

It should be a league to develop kids but there's too much vets and career ahlers over there.
I don't think it's just the Habs. |
