Leafs need grit and leadership

What about odd man rushes per game? What about breakaways per game? Everyone was all good while Freddy was making saves on these all year and said this team is going all the way, now 3-4 breakaways a game and 15 odd man rushes are going in and the sole reason they won't win the cup is Freddy? SMH. These problems were easy to see months ago.

Says who? Who's defining 'danger chances'. Every year we go through these debates and every year guys go to fancy stats. The team gives up far too many regardless if it's less or more defined by some stats nerd sitting in the crowd. Again. There problems were easy see last years and this year and Dubas did nothing to add depth to the d and it shows.

Andersen has seen the 3rd most shots of an starter in the league. This is not improvement.

Who’s counting the chances compared to other 30 teams? Do you watch all 31 teams every night to compare them with the Leafs?

let's say Freddy (who sucks and the leafs win in-spite of) goes 13-6-3 (108 point pace) in 22 starts; good for 29 points.

if hutch starts 9 more starts and goes 3-5-1 again that will be another 7 points.

36 more points gets us to 93 and on the golf course with the habs and sens.


dubas needs to get a backup before the end of the month before he throws the season away completely.
