What’s the difference between Dahlstrom and Kempny?
What’s the difference between Kulikov and Hainsey?
What’s the difference between Sbisa and Djoos?
What’s the difference between Bitetto and Dumoulin?

Once you answer these questions I will answer yours?

Also, not to say I told you so, I was right about the “Big Dog”, this whole time.

I get your point but there's a huge difference between Bitetto and Dumolin.. Lol

Yeah I was really stretching there! Every d-man in the league is better than Bitteto. Still don’t understand why Chevelallseasonoff signed him. On the bright side, he can really make his teammates laugh.

You think coaching will help Bitetto, Sbisa, Dahlstrom, Kilikov get better?

These guys are not Schultz caliber getting run out of Edmonton by the coach.

Wpg’s D is plain and simple “bad”. The proof is in the pudding in stats.

- CharlieDog

Yeah the Jets D is bad but they also had the second worst xGF% from January 1 to the end of the season last year, and that was with Trouba, Myers, and Chiarot.

Not true. We have one with the #52 on his back. First name is Marty. I promised not to reveal his last name.

The difference here is that every non-Jet player you listed is demonstrably superior to every Jet you listed across from them.
Kempny was always decent, and needed a chance, Hainsey has been (until very recent seasons) quite good defensively, Djoos is highly underrated due to his youth and injuries, and Dumoulin... come on, man

Wheeler is an anomaly. If you base all your assumptions on anomalies then you are an anomaly!
- TheUltimateJet

I agree. My point is that Copp is a 2C in every measurable category besides “average time on ice”

Agreed.

Sbisa was a waiver wire pickup from Anaheim, Dahlstrom from Chicago which you (UJ) have been pointing out time and time again. Suddenly, now they are comparable players to ones you have listed despite being casts off from teams that were both terrible at the start of the year and they couldn’t even make those teams. Why didn’t they respond to coaching on those teams well enough to stick?

The answer is they are mediocre bubble Dmen which you yourself have pointed out time and time again. Suddenly, they are coach able, I guess for you to have something else to rhetorically argue about.

he's averaging over 17 minutes per night this year... That's 2nd line ice time.

I was aiming more for his last few seasons as a whole, but yeah. He is a 2C. He has shown himself to be a 2C, and will hopefully continue in that role under our next coach.

I like Andrew Copp. He's a nice player. But if he's in your top 6 you have a big problem.

Talking hockey again...

Roslovic was lost on both the 1st and 3rd goal against vs Chicago. poor effort getting back in position on the 3rd goal, and missed assignment on 1st goal. These are areas to work on before he can be successful as a centre, if that is still in his future.

Roslovic was lost?? Did you not see Lowry not bother keeping his check on Nylander who eventually scored the goal??
The 3rd goal was on Helly, he's gotta cover the damn puck on that play.

Funny how you're criticizing Roslovic on two goals which he was playing as a winger, a wingers job in the defensive zone is to cover the opposition dmen, he shouldn't be that far down in the defensive zone anyway.

I have always said that defense is an overrated position. I guess I have not made that clear. Barry Trotz seems to get the best out of his defensemen all the time.

My critique of Chevy is valid. He speaks of draft and development all the time and yet has failed to develop anyone to take the vacated defensive positions.

If Lowry is so great defensively they should just play the big guy on defense. He surely would be an upgrade over Bitteto.

fair - Lowry did lose his check - however Roslovic was nowhere and had opportunity to support the play. When Niku moved to the point Rosy needs to drop to the front of the net... he got caught puck watching

It was the fourth goal (kane got assist) that I was thinking of and Rosy couldn't have done much more on it. My bad, not his fault.

The same problem Carolina has with putting Staal in their top 6?

Copp 1.54

Can everybody just let the dream of Roslovic at centre just die already? He's in his 3rd season with the Jets who have lost Little and Lowry to injury and he's still not playing a centre position. Maybe in a decade when he turns 33 Maurice will give him a shot at C like he did Wheeler.

Cause he is not a center at the NHL level. Why do people think he is a center ?
He played RW with Auston M and Matt T.

Roslo has been one of the better Jet players lately, but like you, say, on the wing. It seems as though that's were his NHL position is going to be.

Liked the Ehlers-Wheeler-Roslovic line, back in tact tonight. (to start) Got a couple of goals lately and was snake-bitten before.

He’s not. He still drives play, and defends very well. Kind of like Andrew Copp. Offence isn’t everything
