I was at Hattie's is was awesome, I didn't got to Loveless or Wendell's. I'll have to check out Wendell's next time. I was a fan of Martin's the food was freaking great. Still so much to explore there and I'd love to go see the Pens there some time.

Yeah, Wendell's is legit as (frank). Looks like a dump, but it's a true hole in the wall. Real southern cooking and despite how it looks, the food is great quality and everything is made there. I've never heard of Martin's.

One thing I realized is Nashville is big on using pimento cheese. That's the new thing down there. Pimento mac'n'cheese, grilled cheese, burgers, etc... It's delicious, but they take it too far lol. Oh, I went to some other hipster beer restaurant. I can't remember the name. Had a pimento cheese burger lol

Did you hit the right thread? It reads so heartly dismatching but hockey related to most "posts" here today. A shame Hamilton got injured, Norris was wide open with Carlson, Josi and him. Burns and Karlsson at least had a (>=) 1pt/g recently, its not 90ies anymore.

Haha I didn't even notice lol. I went to Lynchburg as well went to Jack Daniel's Distillery and after grabbed grub at the BBQ Caboose and it was a hole in the wall but absolutely amazing.

I’m actually from there. Main thing to do is hike as you’re in the mountains, mountain biking, paddle board or canoe on the river (which is a blue ribbon river- local fishing shop can tell you where to go) camping. Sulpher mountain has a gondola to the top with a restaurant up there. The banff centre often has small outdoor concerts and various types of artsy indoor performances. The hot springs suck as they are just a pool built to contain spring water. If I want a hot tub I just go to the Douglas fir hotel and walk into their hot tub for free. No ones ever said anything in like a two decades I been doing it. Check out the banff springs hotel, basically a castle built for the queen a 100 years ago that some Toronto investors group bought it and 2 other hotels a bit ago for 40 billion. Couple small museums in town. Lots of rock climbing in the area. Go to lake Louise (45 min drive west) go check out the lake, as well as moraine lake which is prob one of the most iconic photo locations. It’s mostly an outdoor area minus the use of quads and dirt bikes since it’s a national park.

Thanks man! Didn’t realize that Lake Louise is a whole 45 minutes away. The internet makes it sound like they’re right by each other.

Sidebar re:hot springs: A few years ago I went to Durango and we went to some “hot springs”. Same poop as what you described. I was so disappointed when we got there and it was just man built pools. I have no interest in paying money to sit in a pool.

I'd actually love to do that, but I'm not sure the wife would be looking to spend a large percentage of of one of the days fishing when the trip would just be a three day long weekend.

I don’t know. I started taking my lady with when she wants to go, great way to spend quality time together. Usually the quality time spent at night after fishing together is pretty good too. If you know what I mean.

Yeah my chick likes going fishing out in the gulf too. A rod and reel for her made for an easy present. She pulled up some lane and red snapper and I pulled up a nice red grouper which we had for dinner that night. After eating the grouper she’s like “I want to catch one of those.”
