The issue I have is too many similar matchups year after year.

I'm hoping the bad blood eventually leads to a bench clearing brawl I want to see the fighting and the things the way they were back in the 80s.

I think I’ll just keep my guns scattered about the house as they are and continue to not give a poop about politics.

I like the conference record system with point seeding instead of divisional. I know the league wanted more divisional rivalry games, but I'm with you on new matchups. I read an article proposing a league wide 1-16 bracket, which I think could be fun. Bring some new hate to some random regular season games. Hell, after the detroit series that the Pens lost, we had that wild game with Staal scoring a hat-trick in a comeback win. Those were some heated games despite the conference difference.

So between stat sites and world of Warcraft your Dads been letting you watch Fox News with him. I wasn’t concerned about any of that poop when I was in high school. Good for you.

1-16 would be awesome. It would leave the thin possibility of a Pens/Flyers, Colorado/Detroit, Boston/Toronto cup final. That would be amazing.

I know right, but you would likely have to change the scheduling. Right now the Matchups would be WAS-CGY, STL-TOR, BOS-EDM, PGH-FLA, TMP-PHL, NYI-VAN, COL-DAL, CBJ-CAR

That could be fun

I don' think i would be a fan of the 1-16. I like seeing the Pens play the rangers, islanders flyers and caps every year and most times two of them... But what about this alternative...Same top 3 from each division, and just have last 4 wildcards span the league. then Division winners play bottom 4 based on points.

After typing this out i don't think it would really be a good system.

I also don't think the NHL wants those teams to play in the final, they want markets as far away from each other , to span entire NHL landscape, so that even if your team isn't in the final, you still may have a small vested interest in or against a team from you division and/or conference.

I see no reason that all sports have to have a similar format in regards to conferences. I think the NHL could try to be a little rogue in that respect.

I’m also in favor of eliminating the All Star Game which is boring as (frank) and expanding the skills competition.

with Kahun out indefinitely, I bet GMJR is starting to get a really itchy trigger finger. I could see a trade as soon as the all-star break is over.

my money is on someone out of the blue like..

I was there last week. I tried Hattie B’s Nashville hot chicken and it was unreal. Top five best fried chicken I’ve ever had.

I feel like Kempe would go against what LA is trying to do with their youth movement. Silfverberg's contract kind of scares me too. Granlund would be slick, but I wonder what his asking price is? I have a feeling that GMJR is gunning for Kreider and is willing to give up a lot for him.

I highly doubt Silfverberg, but I could see interest in Granlund or Kempe. I do agree it’s probably a name not discussed.
