I don't think I'm going to make it through this week without getting banned. Two of the last 3 posts had huge potential.

You really only have two choices. Start a bath salt and crack bender so the conversations make sense or get banned and return for the stretch drive

Poll

What would you like to see...
Donā€™t assume the PO race changes but it does goes down to the wire.

Sellers
Buyers
Stand pat

- Nighthawk

They are obviously in the race now. It would be almost impossible for them to colapse enough for them to be sellers. There is only 12 games to the deadline! They will not throw in the towel in that timeframe... so no to sellers.
Might be minor buyer, but why with Utica depth and limited cap space. What are you going to get without giving up major asset at the worst time of the season for value? So no to major buyer.
Stand pat and work with our overall depth... yes.

Thatā€™s my choice as well. I omitted the choice of a hockey trade on purpose. A bit premature imo not knowing all the sellers/buyers yet.

That being said, this is a tough roadtrip coming up. They do need to bank some points off of it.

You know it. Have to keep it on the tracks & grind it to the end of 82.

Its all just mathamatics now,
33 games remaining and we have 58 points.
What is the magic number to clinch a spot, 94?
So we need 36 points.
It does seem, with our games in hand, and if we take care of the divisional games, we are in.

I gotta say tho, we are playing much better defensively lately. Last game I notice much better zone exits and neutral zone play that show the staff tightened the belt defensively. It's great that the team can respond to new instructions that quickly. Suggests green has some playoffs aces saved
- SMBDragon

I wouldn't expect playoffs just yet but yes, you are correct they are playing a stronger defensive game.

How about Max Domi as a playmaking winger for Bo? Provides some grit for the playoffs and fits in with the age group of the core.

What would you offer?

So you dont think they can get 36 points in 33 games?
15 wins
12 losses
6 OTL's
= 94 points
That seems easily doable to me. Just need to get some of those wins against divisional foes.
Thats not to pom pom is it?

How? His name has been popping up in rumours and he'd be perfect beside Bo. They've known each other since they were 10 years old as well so he'd be a seamless fit into the locker room.

And he brings that grit that people are always asking for.

It's basically as logical of a trade idea as anyone can come up with.

I think the cost would be too much for him. Too early in this window to be giving up a first rounderšŸ˜‰

I don't think it would be worth the price. He would be pricey, plus we would need to dump salary, which just increases the price.

Not at all lol just a lot of things need to go our way. Injuries could still be a factor and the divisional games are important yes. Depends on how we handle the next losing streak. Basically if this 'is' a PO team they will play through the next losing streak and make it in. Comfortably you need 96+ points which they are on pace for...but again a lot needs to go our way and we'll need help from other teams down the 3 point game stretches.

No it's not. Why shake up team chemistry when they are 1st in their division?

So Friedman says VGK & Gallant had contract talks before he was fired. Is that weird or what.

Too costly and no cap space even though that isn't a problem.
