Real deal meaning?
Until he gets his chance, and if he can play meaningful minutes in NHL, he is a 24 year old Dman tearing up the AHL. I hope he can be a late blooming, undrafted gem, not another Pouilot. Please be the "found money" that this team needs.

I hope he becomes a solid RHD 3rd pairing D that can give some offence & good break outs. Move up when needed be a big bonus. He skates well & jumps into the play. At worst good depth is never a bad thing if the 7th D man. At 24yrs it doesn’t bother me since D usually take time. My optimism for him is guarded. Stetcher is his competition.

Yes you trade your leading scorer since November when the team is 1st in the division

I have the same expectations as well. The new Stetcher (and I like Stech). Just at 1/2 the cost when we need cap savings for resigning the Big Guns.

Ek has Hoffman to Vancouver over some phantom connection. Guess because JB stated a while ago about looking for a top 6 F.

Now he's not saying much except he'd like to see the team healthy. Which means their focused on internal solutions since no one will free cap money in taking Sven.

With play of JV, Pearson and now LE on the rise a TDL trade is off the radar. The farm, Ferland, Leivo and Tryamkin are the most likely options.

Work is going to be nuts for me soon.

Very Leaf like with the Marlies a year or 2 ago but we have better D.

In years past when someone would say it all a learning experience , I use to think horsesh1t. This year I believe they have been.

Blow a 5-1 lead to the Caps come back and beat them next game .

Blow a big lead to the Pens and come back and win the next game.

Get their asses kicked by Vegas and come back and win the next one.

They are catching up to the top teams and I find less and less I am expecting the worst. Almost like I am expecting Charlie Brown to finally kick the football.


I think Hughes and Pettersson are the real deal and won't take long to be the best.

It is game 50 (close enough) and I am thinking they can go pretty far sooner than later. I still not sure if it is next year or this , but if they continue to get stronger as the year gos on then all bets are off.
