So we could have Reinhart and Strome?

Did they play together in the world juniors? |

A lot of proposals on Cap Friendly have the Sabres trading for Eakin and Tuch.
I don't know if that's something Vegas would consider.
I didn't pay attention if it was the same person, but at least two of the more recent sabres proposals had it.
I find it odd. |

Eakin can go suck an olive. Tuch, I think, could be had for lower than what I think fans would propose. And he would be of great assistance. |

Strome, Saad and Crawford for Bogo, Montour and Hutton.
Chicago gets $6m in cap relief for next year, a backup goalie for next season, and an RFA dman to replace Seabrook who will develop a serious allergy this summer.
Buffalo gets a goalie upgrade to finish the season, a RFA 2C and a winger with one year left on his contract that can play on the 1st or 2nd line. |

Has nothing to do with balls to make a move, it has to do with Reinhart staying here. He wants to add to top 6 not subtract. - SABRES 89
But you cant get point without subtracting a premium piece from the roster, just doesn't seem possible from a value standpoint.
Would assume cozens is def included a first rounder this year, seems like Tampa would definitely want something else like a reinhart or olo. |

Agree with all this.
I for one am economy driven, most other issues are just identity politics that 50% will think one way and 50% other.
Unemployment is down, wages are up, inflation hasn’t been bad.
Dow went up 7000 points from Obama’s nomination to Trumps in 8 years. Not bad, we would all take that.
From Trumps nomination to now, 3 years it has gone up 11000. Wow. I don’t care how the media tries to spin it, we are seeing the results.
Also I am a millennial, and saying we don’t have opportunity is just a crutch for people who don’t want to put the effort in to succeed. - Fattony1187
I personally think presidents get too much credit/blame for the economy. |

Montour, Sheary and ERod. $8.4m. This trade is basically Montour for Tuch with the rest being UFAs. Eakin hasn't played well this year and has done nothing since returning from injury. Montour would be their 3rd best dman and Sheary with his 2 Cups would be an upgrade over Eakin.
Dach is pretty much a local guy that is on a very good contract. Would add size and skill to our 2nd line immediately. |

I'm not smart enough to truly know.
I think upgrading our top 6 forward group, especially at a favorable deal, is the best option.
That's why I doubt it would work. |

Im on boat with you... even not factoring in that Risto will cost 6-7 mil in 2 years. Hell can we cant even protect all our D men anyways |

Depends how good you think Tuch is.
Is he a 20 goal, 52 point winger like last year, or a 35ish point winger like this year and his first |

Botts needs to be thinking, especially if he wants to resign Montour, that he needs to move assets that could be claimed. |

he is going to put himself in quite the pickle.. but based on the deals he has been giving to people (they all seem to end next year) it seems he has been thinking about it |

He did miss the first month of hockey with the dreaded "upper body injury" and another 4 games in November. Not sure if the injury was actually disclosed.
He's playing 2 minutes less this year, so it seems that they changed his usage. At $4.75m for 6 more years, I think this could be a steal in a couple years. |

With the new TV deal and expansion money, the cap is going to go up, so I doubt it will ever be a bad deal, but I'd like to think the Sabres good do better for Risto. Maybe not though |
