Sabres should insist the m-nmc be removed from the contract if he has to waive it. Then they won't have to protect him.
Unless the cost is low and a bad contract goes with it, Botts would be crazy to do this deal.

He doesnt have a NMC, he has a 10-team no trade list. If he is traded, does that void the list and can it apply to an expansion draft? Seems bizarre that you would have to protect a player that waived and only had a 10 team no-trade list.

Anaheim has an internal cap, they are a very odd organization.

If we send them Okposo and Mittelstadt, can we expect a 2nd or 3rd coming back? I am not too keen on dumping Mitts even with Okposo going the other way if only Henrique comes back. They need to sweeten that a little.
