Was looking at next season. Sandin looks to be an awesome pick. Holl is solid but not my idea of top 4.

Cannot see Barrie back for obvious reasons.
Nothing special but Stetcher for us probably prices himself out of our team. Good bottom 6 RHD but his qualifying offer makes no sense.

Chayka built a team based on goaltending and defense.

He stuck behind his coach and an old school system of team defense 1st.

Traded problem players like domi and strome away instead of canning the coach.

I'd say he did ok. Came out of it with a -1 stat and 15 shifts on a Leafs team NOT playing like it mattered too much...

Yes but top 4 D won’t come cheap & not sold Dubas will use the assets needed for one. I expect a back up to be got & maybe a D for PO push depth.

I joked about him sucking last night, but his down year could benefit the Leafs - buy low. 30+ points, physical, cannon for a shot.

He’s the right type of player and age that I would be okay with trading Liljegren.

Kapanen + Ceci + Liljegren + 4th for Dumba and Stalock

Make it a 2nd if they retain salary on Dumba.

End of the day doesn't really matter if he walks or not. We sign Muzzin, and let Ceci and Barrie go and spend that money to shore up and add to the defence we have which at that point isnt that bad...

Reilly, Muzzin, Holl, Dermott, Sandin.... I mean pretty decent there. Can use a real big name there but take those two out and sit Marincrap in the press box all the time.

We're in what? Year 4? We said 5 year plan here and we were waaaaay ahead of things in year 2 and 3 so a minor setback is NOT the end of the world here. Just have to be patient and work through things.

I think the biggest thing has been developed players in the lineup is 13? I mean holy crap. A lot better than going Wendal Clark and then Luke Schenn who we rushed and not really developing much else in house at all.

Why trade him unless giving up & being sellers & not try to contend?

Cap goes up by 1.5 it’ll be a squeeze...2-3? No problem. Get Stalok in a be deal and you have a cheap backup for next year.
