Hawks 4-1

He’s great no doubt ... I’m still with Ovi though...

I used to not like poodles.

But the crosses are really growing on me.

The little poodles can kick rocks though.

That requires a package deal & would be my top option.

Unless there's no better options at the deadline other than to trade him for a futures package with the intent of packaging some of those assets for a top 4 RHD at the draft...

And at this point I say go for it. Like I said, Tyson Barrie isn't going to be the difference between winning a cup or not this year. To many other issues...

No one player makes a huge difference.

Sure gives us a better chance with him than without him. Keep him.

If keeping him and watching him walk is the difference between round 1 and maybe round 2...move him while you can and get a return.

We aren't talking Gardiner, Barrie is actually valuable. Cash in. I don't want to be able to say we traded Kadri for one playoff round in a lost season.

What do you mean?

No Barrie means we are

Worse trying to get into the playoffs
Worse in a potential round 1 matchup
Worse in a potential round 2 matchup
Worse in a potential round 3 matchup
Worse in a potential cup final

Your mindset on how players contribute to success is all wrong.

He’s been good

It would be stupid to trade him unless we are upgrading him

Unlikely

Labradoodles are fun dogs. Or the other day I saw a cross between a big poodle and a german shepherd, they are wild looking.

Hard to say that, Barrie has been a steaming pile this year. That said I wouldn't trade him because I doubt he would get even a low second rounder at this point at the TDL.

They're not gonna trade UFAs at the deadline when they're in the hunt.

It has nothing to do with his age. It’s his philosophy and team construction...understand? And no one is happy with this garbage. We all want to win.

Since Keefe took over he’s been pretty good.

Easily a top 4 d he just doesn’t help the Leafs weakness but he 100% contributes to wins. He’s been way better than Rielly on that 1PP.

At the end of the day you don’t make your team worse when every year is so important. The Leafs won’t be this talented forever.

We’ll be just like the Habs/Sabres/Canucks one day.

But then how else are they going to use hindsight to say they should of traded every UFA for value?

And they get the Poodles affection and playfulness with the German Shepard loyalty.

I feel like primarily the Leafs are built on having top draft picks and keeping them. Like having a Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Rielly, etc...still doesn't seem that wacky too me. Get really good players. Doesn't seem that different to me than what any team has ever done.

It’s the Leafs, so they did it wrong. Should’ve drafted Hanifin, and McAvoy instead of Marner and Matthews...

Yeah I guess the idea is to keep giving up at the deadline and collecting picks until you have a season like Tampa did last year, because then for sure you're gonna win.
