Boqvist making some very nice defensive plays recently.
Dach had room to get Katpne his 1,000th point. - StLBravesFan

That was crushing to give up that late goal.
Horrible period overall, got dominated by the Jets and the refs.
Road team now with all the momentum, gonna be very difficult to win this game. Hawks should have extended the lead when they had a chance. |

Number 12,
Can’t believe the vanishing act this year
Maybe a Drouin trade - Colbyboy
Give him time to sort it out. Players go into funks, it happens. Just stick with him. He'll be fine. |

He’s had more than enough time. He’s expendable if the right deal is available. He doesn’t really contribute much of anything. |

None of his fights were at the wrong time. He got jumped by landeskog and hayden. Stood up for dcat against demers and stood up for himself and the team when Simmonds was taking runs at everyone. Its beating a dead horse that I like physical play and most on here dont.
My main point was just highmore being overrated and I'd prefer to have a banger energy player on the 4th line. And yes I'd like to see gilbert in but when your winning and koek is playing his best hockey I understand not messing with the d.
I will agree with everyone that nylander is overrated and that was a horrendous trade getting rid of henri |

Even if he keeps up at this "doesn't contribute much of anything" pace he's still going to easily eclipse 50 points. He has been playing all over the lineup, no set lines, no chemistry. Maybe he'll settle in when Strome is rolling. |

I honestly do not mind this take. I am also with Vandy on Highmore.
I know vandy is very frustrated at the changes in the game, but I really hope he remains a devout Hawks and hockey fan, because I honestly do think this poster knows the sport very well, even if he's a bit obsessed with the rough stuff. |

Silly talk, imo.
They're a tad short on top six forwards. No need to trade one. |

Just saw this on Twitter... the fire sale is on, look at all the scouts at today's game:
24 NHL scouts/reps listed: BOS, CAR, CBJ, COL, DET, EDM (2), LA, MIN, MTL (2), NJ, NSH, NYI, NYR, OTT (2), PIT, SEA, SJ, STL, TB, VGK (2) - DarthKane
How can you have so many scouts at one game and no rumors? |

He OFTEN fought at the wrong time- at least twice I can recall him coming from way across the ice to start one - and getting an instigator in addition to the major. It cost them one game, IIRC.
He’s a rookie - hope he learns - hope we can see what he can be as a defenseman without looking mainly to be the sand and grit. |

What if it’s for another legit top 6 forward? Might be something to consider IF it’s an upgrade. While Cats value is still high. |

Because they’re probably at all of the games played by bubble teams. |

The sand and grit will be part of his game. If he can clean up positioning and reading the play he is going to be solid. I actually think he's a far better skater for a big guy than most give him credit for. I am not a skating coach but I focus on skating and it's a very important skill for me since it's the very foundation of hockey. And I think Gilby IS a good skater. For a big guy who can skate? He has to have a future. Toss in the fact he's tough I have NO issue with that. |

Does the other team have a say? If he sucks and has three more years at $6M+, how will you get a better top six forward? |

And I certainly don’t either - if it’s controlled to the needs of the game. |
