Good gawd. Pull Murray. - madmike71
This was about as predictable as all could be.
Murray is a problem, but the bruins just are this teams white whale. Combined with the early afternoon game, which has never been their forte. They won’t even sniff a loser point in this one. Just make it out without injury. |

This should be enough to realize they need to move on from Murray. I don’t see this team getting by the Bruins in the playoffs. They don’t match up well and if Jarry can’t do it, Murray definitely cannot.
Sounds doom and gloom, but they are not competitive against them and Murray’s a compete head case. |

JMO... although Jarry was giving up a few goals, I didn't see many stinkers. While JJ went to the wrong man on the first goal, Murray was so slow getting over. The 2nd goal was all Murray. Should have been a 3rd goal on his decision to go so far out of the net.
The team isn't helping him, but I think Jarry has their confidence. |

I think Murray’s heading to the trading block. |

This was his last chance for me. This team needs 2 capable tenders to win a cup...and without jake I just dunno. Move mur for whatever u can...resign jar asap and get desmith back up here. Give that the rest of the year and see where we r at then. |

He hasn't been consistent since his dad passed away. And he seems like he just keeps getting worse. |

Since being injured on team north america...and even before that the jig was up on his glove hand...the whole league had sniffed that out. |

Maybe, but Jarry gave up 4 last game to them. I don't think we match up well against Boston at this time. I also think Boston is quicker to the puck generally than we are when we match up. They look hungrier to me. |

This is where I’ve been. They’ve exceeded my expectations for the year but without kale and Dumo I’m not sure how likely it is they are in it for a cup the tender situation is long over at this pointe trade Murray and move DeSmith up here. |

Serious q...what do y do then? Pay the man 4 plus mil for that crap...or keep him playing like this and let him go for absolutely nothing? |

By no means do I put this entirely on Murray but he is by no means helping them |

Murray, while playing awful right now, has been good as of late. Having a goalie of his caliber as your back-up is a great situation to be in. You ride the season out then evaluate your situation. If you decide on Jarry you move MM's RFA rights.
EDIT: Jarry hasn't been that great the last few games. |

Why wouldnt you...you think the whole team likes seeing that kind of start from him? |

That first one let in by Murray is a team killer. Deflating. The second one was not real good either. |

I'd give him easy matchups like Detroit and trade him in the off-season. |

Sullivan is to blame for this, what kind of bone head thinks that MM belongs anywhere near the net against the Bruins |

No my point is that the team doesn’t match up well against heavy fast teams (bruins, caps, etc)...so while Murray sucks and hurts them when he starts most times he isn’t the only reason they don’t tend to beat the bruins |

I’d give him the starting job in WBS where he belongs. |

Jarry hasnt been bad tho...none of the goals look as putrid as Murray's often do. I think jarry needed a bit of a break, but he has significant upsides that Murray does not. He could faulter entirely and then we r really screwed. The point is..murray hasnt been good consistently decent for a very very long time...and I just dont see signs of improvement...arguably signs of further regression. To me he isnt on the team no matter what after this year. I say you sell as high as possible...deadline is the most over inflated time to move someone. |
