No way man!! Saturday night out with the bandmates! We're out for dinner, then seeing a Steely Dan tribute band, then catching the UFC.
Sunday night game is perfect!

I'm pulling hard for Cerrone, was always one of my fav fighters. I think father time caught up to him awhile ago though.

None of this two team crap. Random story though, recently, I matched up with a girl. Now she claims she's an Eagles fan, but then also claims she's a Chiefs, Bills, Packers, and 49ers fan and she has pics in all their jerseys along with various swag. Craziest thing I can remember seeing.

Well obviously one team takes precedence over the other, but I've too much fan love to follow ONLY one team.

Sounds like she's just a football fan.

This is what's being floated on the Leafs board:

Johnsson and Bracco for Georgiev and Andersson.

And they are all for it. Too bad fan bases can't ratify trades!!!

Here's her reasoning: My brother was a big Chiefs fan growing up so I always root for them, Jimmy G and ARod are cute gotta root for them. She also states that she is a fantasy football player and fans of alot of people. She has swap for pretty much all the teams.

I can remember buying jerseys of players who I liked or when they were on my fantasy teams when I was in my early/mid 20s. She's 38 lol

Well regardless, she gets HUGE bonus points for just being a die hard fan of any sport.

I'm not sure that's as good a trade as you think it is. Johnsson has a really good season last year, but isn't really backing it up this year and is signed for a not insignificant cap hit. He's also 25. Bracco is intriguing, but I also wonder if he's sort of a forward version of John Gilmour and just a AAAA type of player.

I've waffled on the whether I like girls that are big sports fans or not. There are times where it's extremely cool to take someone to a game or them not to nag you when you are watching. OTOH, I'm the type of person that sometimes likes to have my own things exclusive to who I'm dating, like these are the escapes that I enjoy whether by myself or with my friends. Again, I've been on both sides of that fence.

I'm not salivating or anything, lol.
It's just that I asked them whether Robertson is on the table and there was a resounding "no." I don't think we can get Kapanen for a 1A/B (so far) goalie, and they seem to overestimate Andersson's current value.

Would they do Georgie+Lias for him? If Toronto said no for a 1 for 1 swap, that might be the angle I pursue. Followed by us adding like a 3rd to those 2, but them giving us like a 5 or 6 back.

IDK, but in that scenario that's another $2M+ for us to work into the cap next season.

Id love a playoff run, just not sure we make it there this year. Our team defense hasn’t been good and our bottom 6 is a disaster. We’re being held up by unbelievable play from our top 6, that’s not exactly a formula for success in the playoffs.
- nyrangers9479

Actually the 3rd line has been pretty damn good since they moved Howden to wing. Just have to convince Kakko to shoot the puck

I think if we got him, then it would probably mean the end of Kreider. Our dead money only goes up by a total of 2 million (Shatty goes up but Girardi's goes down) plus we gain about a million and a half from not having to bury Belesky and Stinky's retained salary coming off. If you believed in Kapanen, exchanging his cap hit with CKs probably helps us resign our RFAs, though we still might have to do a couple moves to fit all of them.

Howden looks like a solid wing. I don't think he will ever be amazing, but he for sure doesn't look out of place there.

Yeah, I didn't like him at center. Chytil has been a beast at center since coming back. Not always scoring but always noticeable.

Chytil's skating lately has been so (frank)ing good

whoever said it (maybe Jimbo) put Pepe in there with Chytil and Kakko and slide Howden down.

I would also like to so Diguesepe or whatever that guidos name is in for Mckegg. that guy does nothing

Even as someone who likes Cerrone, it really isn't. Guy is basically .500 over the past several years. The only way Conor loses is either he doesn't fight well because he's rusty/doesn't care/lost his edge, or Cerrone just catches him with a shot. Given how good a counter striker Conor is, I just don't see 2 happening.

Has there ever been a very good player in the NHL with a very Italian sounding last name?

stand corrected : If according to the expansion draft chart of NYR if Shesty is EXEMPT then give HANK a lil time & dont dress him , start the "IronCurtin Goalies"marketing machine and get a pkg deal with HANK + STaal to Carolina for whatever ,NOW Ill take the prospects & picks you guys crave & Smith will find a team shoring up D/O PP & grit ,gotta keep the hope to get space to sign Krieds STrome AdA & still trade up for a top wing

Espo's legacy gets tainted by his awful GM-ness, he really was a great hockey player
