They didn’t play well tonight. But they were 2-0 against the Habs. Beat Detroit 6-1. Beat Anaheim twice. I mean it’s not like they haven’t also beat bad teams. They didn’t get up for this one and it cost them, especially with an AHL goalie playing. They are still a work in progress.

But I’ll take this work in progress this year over the crap they’ve had over the last few years. This team gets in and they can make noise.

They may have mentally stepped off the pedal. You get up for those 4 teams and then maybe breathe a sigh of relief when facing a struggling team. You hate to see it happen, but it does. So often teams coming off a huge win lose the next game to a crap team. It’s sports, poop happens. Back in the saddle on Saturday, get a win.

He’s also played well for 7 games. Pretty small sample size. Let’s see how he plays and behaves when he is “comfortable”. It’s short sided to complain over 7 games.
