I remember the interview. Burkle seemingly wanted Bylsma fired at least two seasons before it was done....so yeah that's part of it. However, Bylsma had waaaay more to work with. - madmike71
The fact he survived the 2012 playoff collapse still blows my mind. I can only wonder what 2013-2015 would've looked like if we had found Sully then and implemented this style of play.
2013 is the year I'm most salty we couldnt get it done in. |

Yup. Both times the d got caught watching. |

Based on the look of it, seems like Gally was supposed to return to the bench after getting out of the box. Seemed to throw everyone out of position. Cant let a guy out there by himself. |

Yeah... '13 was a cup caliber team. Bylsma couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag. |

Marino Calder Trophy candidate?
Also, Riikola has been playing really well this year. Not sure if he is getting used to NHL ice or being coached up or a combination of the two, but he has been largely unnoticeable in a good way and makes some nice plays here and there. - Hockey66
Tough with Hughes and Makar having the years they are. It would be nice to see him get sone consideration.
I think Riikola has looked good. |

I was thinking it's too bad they don't split the trophy between forwards and defensemen. |

It's a great year for defensemen. Fox has also been good in NY. Not as big for forwards though Olofsson has been good in Buffalo. |

Before this trip started, I was thinking to myself I'd be very happy with 3 points. Here we are at 5, maybe 6. Love the fight. |

Regardless of the outcome the league needs to look at this games officiating! Holy crap, head locks are legal D now? |
