In a season of bad calls that call against Geno might be the worst! So it’s cool to cross check someone 3 times (once when the player is on the ice) and slash his legs twice = no penalty, any response = penalty. SMH - iworkatinitech
Yea that was bullpoop |

Yeah, that response was nothing, too.
You could see Malkin asking the ref, "For what?!" |

Two things about Shero..... Maybe the owner is pissed about Subban sucking and the return for Hall wasn't great. Who knows.
Also.... I don't think his drafting has been great. Just like it wasn't great here. His later drafts ended up working out well for us, but not while he was GM. Wasted a bunch of his higher picks. - madmike71
Yeah, I thought trading for Subban was unwise to begin with - seemed like an odd move for a rebuilding team. Hall essentially got two 1sts, one 2nd, and two 3rds. I don't know if rentals have much more value than that. I don't know much about the prospects, but I'm just going on their draft round.
Part of the problem for Shero (good problem to have) is they kept having such good luck in the lottery that they essentially had to draft so many good young centers. I know their defense and goaltending let them down, but I think their rookie goaltender will be good eventually, just like their young centers. The new GM is walking into a pretty good situation, IMO. Lots of cap space, too. |

Maybe we'll see a make-up call for that BS. |

I thought I remembered reading the return for Hall wasn't great because the prospects weren't high end. I have no idea. I read Cordell's thread regularly and it seems their fans hate his drafting. The "can't miss" guys are easy, but teams need to hit and develop a good stream of depth players. I felt that was always Ray's problem with us.
Maybe the owner is the patient type? Seems like a terrible time to fire a GM. Should have kept him through the TDL IMO. |

Okay is there anyone in WB they can bring up? Galchenyuk needs to sit, he’s turned into Craig Adams |

I think the big problem is he hung onto his failing coach too long. It is a little different situation when Bylsma was here, but I think a lot of the crap Shero took from Burkle/Lemieux was due to Bylsma staying for too long. I think there was even a Burkle quote about how Bylsma should've been fired sooner. I would think that Devils ownership wanted Hynes fired a while ago.

Seems odd that you get to change on a high stick infraction. Couldn't a player flip the puck up to himself and play it with a high stick just to get a change? |

Yeah, that call was totally bunk. Just because a guy throws his head back doesn't make it a penalty.
And of course, seconds into the PK JJ gets tripped with no call. |

I remember the interview. Burkle seemingly wanted Bylsma fired at least two seasons before it was done....so yeah that's part of it. However, Bylsma had waaaay more to work with. |

Just imagine if they had done that. Maybe we're through the Johnston debacle two years earlier, too. |

Well, once again with an injury-ravaged lineup (and poor officiating), I'll be happy with a point. Pens look to be turning it on, though. |
