his comments make it clear..both/and: he wants to stay here but its also a business and he wants to get paid and have some security. I would think there have been conversations between his agent/stanbow. If they can't come to an agreement you gotta think he is moved at the TDL to a team that will sign him him, psss poor management to allow him to walk into UFAdom for nothing.

The goalie decision is the most critical decision stanbow has to make: which way this breaks will say alot about the hawks direction

I am not overly concerned about Lehner poor results or even if he has a weakness in stopping shots in OT. I have heard that he gives away too much where to go to best him, but this seems contradictory. He is a large body and if true about his positioning ,then it would be true too within the entire game. The deciding factor is, Lehner is very good and more able to get us a victory or to OT/shootout than Crawford.

You probably get more for Lehner in trade. But unless it is a first round IN 2020 ..

Which is why if you could package Gus or Smith or something with a goaltender, your greatest opportunity to improve is by drafting and developing first round picks. After all, those (first round) are the better players in the league. Bowman probably would not screw up drafting

It is an altogether different story come next.season (after the entry draft) if you keep Bowman and Colliton. Do you trust them for rebuild? I really like Bowman's drafts last few years but otherwise he has a spotty track record. Hiring Colliton looks like a mistake. But Colliton has term remaining on his contract do Rocky would have to eat that if Colliton is dismissed

I would guess that since this summer Saad has the trade.stipulation kick in his contract, he gets moved by trade deadline maybe and before draft and or free agency for sure. Entwhistle or Hagel eventually is his replacement.

FWIW, In 8:27 through 2 periods, Nylander has cracked the scoresheet, with 1 hit. Still no shots on goal.

If you get no shots on goal in a game, can you really be considered a goal scorer?
