Marino is doing what Schultz was expected to do this year tbh. A big plus for us. - Barnaby36
I dunno. I would say Marino is doing much more than what is expected of Schultz. Schultz is not good at defense and generally benefits from PP time. Most of Marino’s points are at even strength and he’s good at defense. |

Halfway through the season, who is your MVP: Marino or Jarry? Probably has to be Jarry, but I don't even want to think about the defense without Marino doing what he's done.
I'm guessing no one had either of them on their top 10, maybe even top 15, pre-season MVP list. What an amazing couple of much-needed surprises! - Hockey66
Those two are the biggest surprises. The MVP to this point has to be Jake Guentzel with Malkin a close second. Bryan Rust would be honorable mention along with Jarry.
There are so many guys having great years. Yes, even Kris Letang. |

Yeah couple days ago people were giving me poop because I said Moes is better. It’s only better because Moes queso is better than the entire chipotle menu. - j.boyd919
Moe's queso is bomb haha |

Yes, they are playing a great team game but I'm giving MVP to Jarry hands down because without him the pens would be outside looking in, IMO. Sid would be rushed back as well I think. |

Just had chipotle because I had a 15 dollar gift card. Got the barbacoa and the steak with both beans, pico and salsa verde with a side of queso and that poop is wack. Some of the blandest food I’ve ever had. - j.boyd919
Thats because it wasnt authentic Chipotle from Pa |

Still haven’t been enough injuries to justify his spot in the lineup. Heard he purposely drives around looking to run over puppies to back home. Wherever he’s from. Estonia? - Grinder47
I’d expect more gumption out of a puppy runner overer. |

That's because you have a realistic view of Schultz.
I've been saying for a while Malkin needed a Letang more than a Guentzel. Well now he finally has one in Marino: a defenseman who can tilt the ice with his play at both ends. I'm excited to see Sid and Malkin playing with both having a guy like that. |

Yeah what’s crazy to me is this perception that Schultz pushes the play offensively (even RW states this) when you’ve shown enough data in here to show that he really isn’t that good in transition and doesn’t really “tilt” the ice as people think given his point totals. I’m hoping when Schultz does get back they keep him sheltered on the 3rd pairing much like they did in the first cup run where he was more effective. |

We talked about this a few months back. He only has a positive impact on like 2 active forwards over the last 3 or 4 seasons. Scoring Chances for% tend to drop with Schultz by like 5%. |

Going to San Antonio for a few days and will sample their best BBQ, then Nashville for a few days, Hattie B’s for red hot chicken and then Edley’s for BBQ. Haven’t been to either. |

Just saw this on Twitter xGF/60 leaders:
Malkin 1st and a few trade targets we've discussed in thw top ten: Saad (2), C. Smith (7), Toffoli (10).
Just in case we're looking for forwards who create offensive, there are some sneaky good players potentially available.
If I were LA, I'd be trying to trade Toffoli before more names hit the market. He and Smith are both misused playing a lot of bottom 6. |

My sources hinting at a move based around Addison and Tatar. |
