You got a GM that does not want to trade veterans because he wants to win now, but you also have a GM that won't trade prospects / picks because he wants to build for the future.

Result: A team that can't win games, let alone make the playoffs and a pool of B+ prospects but no real game changers.

100% recipe for on going mediocrity... same story coming on 30 years now.

Get someone who has the balls to go 1 way or the other and go hard on it.

This (frank)ing mediocrity will go on for another 30 years, at this point.

disagree with your use of the term mediocrity to describe the current iteration of this team. what about this organization has been mediocre the last 5 years? this is a league where mediocre at best gets you into the playoffs and at worst keeps you in the hunt through March. for the 4th time in 5 years they will miss the playoffs and the third time in that span they are out of the race by the midway point. that's not mediocre. that's absolutely terrible an there is not a GM in the league who would survive this. Molson's hand will be forced thankfully.
