new lines out for game tomorrow. NAK on 2 Jake on 3 and Farabee on 4. Not a fan thereof.
i still think team better w frost as 3C and raffl as 4c. more skill, scoring. misha has earned return trip to LV, i dont see why AV keeps him here.
i am not encouraged

IDK, I’m glad AV switched things up. If it doesn’t work out, it will be easier to make adjustments after they get home.

I was at three of the games on this road trip, luckily one was ANH. Body language on the bench in LA and AZ was apparent.... heads were down. Giroux seemed amp in Az, he was pretty much standing the whole 2nd period as if trying to mentally will the team forward. Despite that there still has to be a leadership question. The storyline of first period preparedness is the same as under Hakstol, so now 2 coaches, similar story wrt first period preparedness. It did not seem a major issue this year, but on this road trip, it was a factor in LA, ANH, San Jose and LV. In Az the first period was pretty even until the first goal... in fact just before the first goal I said to the person next to me that it was a pretty even match to that point

I think the leadership core needs to bare responsibility for the slow starts, especially now that it has spanned two coaches.

I hear that..

The hardest thing I have ever experienced was watching my father pass away from Pancreatic cancer at the age of 54 over a 6 month period. At that start he was this tough, broad shoulder fireman that everyone loved and thought was a tank and by the end he was a shell of that person. It was brutal and forced me to grow up and took a good 2-3 years to really feel happy in life again.

I also lost a best friend , grandmother and a few other relationships to cancer.

What I learned through all that is that Cancer is the great equalizer. It doesn't care who you are, what you do , what you are earn or what your role is . Once it impacts your life it levels the playing field and leaves everyone , from the patient to the families, looking and feeling the same.

If anyone on this forum ever needs to vent, rant or cry about how cancer is impacting them I will always listen.

A random person at one of the parks in downtown Philly sat next to me and said I looked like I needed an ear in the months after my father's passing. This person sat with me for almost 2 hours and just talked about life , got up hugged me and walked away..I never saw them again so the best way I can try and pay them back is to make sure Im there for anyone that ever needs the same type of help. =)

I totally agree that cancer is the great equalizer and we've all been touched by it. I also agree that we should all be there for others because unfortunately, we know what it's like to try to pick up the pieces...and I appreciate the kind words from everyone that's responded

Is anyone else sick and tired of Schwartz and his pathetic sticks defense that always burns us??
- Richieattack18

Defense played well enough yesterday to give a NFL caliber offense a shot to win. Unfortunately with the absurd number of injuries the Eagles had on that side of the ball we did not have a NFL caliber offense. Really, what starters did they have? The two TEs(one playing with broken ribs) and like 2 guys on the O line.

I agree. But the Flyers issue is the drop off within the middle six from lines 2 to 3 and then having a 4th line that's been getting caved.

Yes and no... during the road trip Hayes & JVR combined for 1 goal and a minus 9 rating.

Thanks for sharing. I'm going through it with my Dad and all early signs are good. My Dad is 81 and has lived a good life but I'm not prepared to lose him yet. Losing a Father that young is devastating. This disease is so prolific that you can't talk to anyone who hasn't had their life impacted somehow.

Depends on the cost. Can we add him without giving up much? He's a nice player and might give us a shot in the arm so I'd love at least kick the tires. I have no clue what his contract looks like in all fairness.

Thank you. My wife lost her dad from pancreatic cancer over a decade ago and the pain and heartache is immense. Cancer is horrible and hope to God they find a cure soon! MJL, I hope your family member gets better asap!

Not surprising when you look at his career.

Like all coaches Laviolette has a shelf life which is typically a few seasons before players grow tired of his approach.

Factor in that currently they are out of the playoffs and it makes sense.

Do you notice that every team Duchene is on is a loser, then gets better when he leaves.

Not sure how true that is but I've never been a big fan of Duchene. Never spend that kind of money on a one way offensive player who isn't a true difference maker.

I doubt flyerfletcher will take the great Peter back. Even with flyers way out of the playoffs now. And a brutal schedule to come.

Agree Poile has made a lot of bad signings and acquisitions over the past few years.
Duchene Turris and Granlund are not worth their contracts. Josi is a fine player but 9+ mil until age 37? He did OK with the Subban move to NJ, but in retrospect the Habs won with the Weber trade.

So it’s not unusual for the coach to take the fall for the GM. Lavy certainly has been there before.

LOL take him back for what reason or in what capacity?

Also how are the Flyers "way out of the playoffs"
