I feel asleep 2nd intermission...MAF only had 16 shots against?
So the Pens didnt deserve to win but did. Thanks Jarry. That's totally fine here and there but not good if it becomes the normal. I dont think it will.

Stayed up and watched the whole game (it was on ESPN+ which at $4/month is a great deal, IMO). Pens hung on for dear life in the 2nd and 3rd. Not sure how they won that one - JJ's tripping penalty proved costly, Geno's penalty late in the 3rd was gut-wrenching. MAF was like a sieve (I think he completely fell apart - he's had a fair share of those kind of games throughout his whole career), VG forwards missed some open looks, that's for sure - Stone and Karlsson missed some wide open nets.
Pens should say their prayers and be thrilled with any points after that one. |

Pens got dominated for the most part. Stone line terrorized the Pens. Huge fan of that guy. Jarry hung tough and MAF pretty much sucked.
JMO... They can't get Sid back a minute too soon. I think they're running on fumes. I still believe a trade would be wise sooner than later. |

I just hope it's a grinder (or two) and not some big-name player.

So even though the Pens were out shot 32-16 in all situations the HDSC were only 11-9 for the VGK's...pretty crazy. |

I still want AA......although he's not Jake. I know he's having a tough year (now hurt) so maybe we can buy low, but hopefully he regain his scoring touch.
Tiffoli would be my other target.

What the (frank) do they need more grinders for? That’s the last thing they need. They need someone to replace Guentzel goal scoring ability. It should be a big name player. |

Tanev has borderline top 6 production while playing mostly against the other team's top lines with Blueger and ZAR and almost no PP time. Pretty impressive. |

They need a 30 goal scorer, I know some people didn't like Kessel, but to lose a 30 goal scorer in Phil and a 30-40 goal scorer in Jake in the same season is too big of a hit, especially with our injuries. |

Personally, I don't think they'll be able to replace Jake. I think they'll get a lesser player or two and let their good depth fill in the rest. It's encouraging we have players like Kahun and Tanev filling in. Hornie too.....he's playing well since returning.
I'll also be interested to see if Bjugstad can get going. I've been wondering if he's had his core problem since the beginning of the season. Hopefully that's the case, 'cause he was mostly crap since the start of the season.
Palmieri would be a guy I'd love if Shero is willing to deal with us. |

I've got the same top 3, of course the whole league does. If Nashville falls backwards Granlund and Smith.
Custance just did a trade board and a couple bounce back guys were on it I hadn't seen: Josh Anderson and Kase. Both have crazy low shooting percentages but Anderson had 20 ES goals last year and plays a physical game while Kase was a trendy breakout pick in pre-season, and a right shot wing.
Of course I look at the standings and when did CBJ tie Philly for the last spot. 😳 |

I guess I don't think of those as big name players. For me "big" would be someone like Patrick Kane and the ilk.

Kadri just put a whoopin on Lindgren of the Rangers... Best fight I have seen in a long time. - hipcheck_goalie
Underrated Yahoo fantasy C, time to time he provides the little extra.
Regarding Sid vs. Kuch: In most points leagues (with faceoffs) answer is easily Sid, in that stat categories ones Kuch is still a ppp-weapon. |
